A few points about the Cassiopeia VU

  1. It seems like aside from the base head, there wasn't much in the lines of model tweaks and from what I heard, no rigging tweaks. I know you all were trying to get her done for the shurmia event, but a greco-roman myth isn't quite the same as egyptian myths so you didn't need to rush.
  2. Mythic's tail looks nicer. The base skin isn't as contrasted, but looks nice in its own way. Desprada's tail is the worst of the changes.
  3. Siren's new boob armor is nice, her new tail design pattern is not. I kind of wish you changed her head piece more than her tail.
  4. Overall the skin tones on her human parts look a lot better though.
  5. The cleavage in the texture on the base model needs to be highlighted to match desperada's and mythics.
  6. Desparada is a disaster. I really, really love the black and lace corset motif on the new one, but it doesn't match her hat and the snakeskin textures on the old one were just so much richer it isn't even funny how much worse it looks. At least make it match the color of her hat (that should have gotten a new model as well to fit the new motif).
  7. If possible I really think you need to keep the old Desparada and use the newer simpler version as the base for a new skin: gothic Cass (think gothic lolita). Just give her long hair (blond or redhead) and one of those little black fashion hats. Maybe a black base white underbelly tail design.
  8. Death animations for the non classic skins need to be looked into.

I'll look into it and see what the 3D guys think about the critical points you bring up. Thanks!

OMG Yes, everything about the Desperada skin that Linna says needs some address and or a lot of attention. At current this is one of my biggest gripes about the whole VU and Lore Retcon for Cass. Strange as it may sound to some, he grey and black diamond patterned snake half is so much better than the current faded brown on brown stripped pattern. I mean, she doesnt even look like a Rattlesnake anymore. The changes to the hat and the clothing and such I can deal with, but the drastic alteration of her snake half, the most drastic of all her skins VU, needs to either be reverted or at the very least explained in context so we can understand the direction Riot's art team was thinking.

I'd like to add that the belly sclaes in the classic skin as well as in the greek skin, seem way too narrow

You forgot to mention the death animation who is still broken :p

I really like the changes to Siren's tail, it reminds me a lot of Grendels mother from the Beowulf movie, and it fits with the overall look of the skin. I too like the original Desperada skin but I do not think that the new one looks bad at all. The new brown/blue colors stand out a lot more than the originals grey/black which is exactly what they have stated numerous times is the goal with new champions and champion updates (to make them "pop" more from the map) I also have to say that the thinner belly scales on the default skin are a major improvement as it keeps her hips from looking gigantic as was the case with her original. Sure they all look different but I think they all look much better than they did prior to the update (especially default, it went from being my least favorite to the very top with Desperada) I will agree that the death animation should be updated as it is kind of annoying to see her change back to her pre-update for when she dies :-/

I've never had issues with a VU in the past but the desperada skin is just a pure downgrade in my opinion. That was the first skin I bought a couple years ago because I loved the rattle snake look of it. Now it's just plain gray and she's wearing some weird frilly shirt.

Really not sure what they were going for but it just doesn't work for me. First time I would refund something that was supposed to be an upgrade.

Now that I'm talking about it, I think I'm going to send in a support ticket and see if they'll do anything for me.

Riot- I struggled to learn Cassi and to do as well with her as my skill level allows even when she was the most hated champion in LoL because I really, really liked the Desperada skin. If you bring back the real Desperada skin (rework is fine, but don't materially alter the tail! It's supposed to be tan with gold highlights and jagged black stripes!), I will do so again with the reworked version.

Otherwise I will be sad forever and probably not play her anymore.
