Kled just confirmed that Aatrox is a demon in runterran terms...... I don't like this really. I figured the Darkin to be a distinctive unique race and yet Riot has decided to jsut lump them in with the demons. That also mean's we'll never fidn the other darkin because it's easy to just make another demon and have people speculate it's darkin. idk guys, i'm not digging this.

Aatrox happens to be the only one who gets all hot and bothered about war and violence, the other two keep to themselves but just wonder Valoran and then there are the two hidden Darkin.

Sharjo3 votesPlus if it is true the darkin could be a kind of demon and still thus be a race of their own. Fantasy races can often have variants after all. Such a line also could imply a connection more than anything else, like Kled remarking that Aatrox is so demon like that it's funny he doesn't just call himself one straight up.
Although again it could just be WAAARGHbobo taking the mick, which is definetly a part of it at least.

This is both an interesting line and also WAAARGHbobo taking the piss out of Harrow; Kled's gameplay designer. For those who don't know Harrow was once one of the writers for League, and was Aatrox's primary writer.
How much of this line is completely representative of proper lore and how much is WAAARGHbobo playing fun is anyone's guess, but I'll choose to believe it's a healthy mix of the two and go from there.

Sharjo1 votesCould be Kled taunting Aatrox about his methods being pretty demonic, could be that darkin are a kind of demon that ended up doing things differently or existed in a different form, could be that the darkin are empowered through demonic magic or something. The implications of the line, beyond WAAARHbobo just taking the mick are interesting to say the least.

Oleandervine2 votesI don't think that this is actually that big a deal. There was only 1 Darkin. That was Aatrox. There have been no more since. Retconning him to be some demon, or hell, even voidborn would pull him more into the League universe rather than leaving him floating off in his own little special snowflake vignette that doesn't particularly hold with the direction that the lore has turned since his creation.
