Blood Moon Diana is not redundant because the thematic is not at all relevant to Diana. Cho'Gath is a void creature, so there is no Void Cho. Blitzcrank is a robot, so you can't make a robot a robot; And Darius is already Noxian.

Diana is not a mask wearing Asia-inspired entity based on the oni and spirits of ancient Japan. Diana is based on ancient Greco-Roman warrior. The Blood Moon design, being largely inspired by Japan and featuring reds and blacks along with the iconic masks, is not a duplication of any design of hers.

Hate to say it, but Diana also has an Asian themed skin. She got one for Lunar Revel a few years ago.

Oh, I wasn't aware that was Lunar Revel since it was available year round. I thought it was based on Artemis.

Too bad it's not 100% true in the comic, as Zilean, Kalista, Thresh and Elise have them as well and they are not related to Ionia.

Jhin, I get. But that arch isn't like the one on his back because there's no way to secure it the way it's structured. Plus, the Blood Moon skins have always been characterized by black and red. Giving Yorick a Blood Moon skin would just be super lame and trite.

To be fair, Zilean can be anywhere and anywhen, anytime. Whose not to say in an alternate Time line, he resided in Ionia.

Zilean is from Ionia clearly, cause he is from anywhere...anytime.
