As a Slav I am especially eager to see how the Noxian lore unfolds.
We've all heard Swain's intro by now and the musical references to the Soviet anthem are quite easy to detect. Add the Russian-sounding lyrics (you definitely can hear слава - "glory") and one of Swain's lines, which matches a Churchill quote on Russia and I think the cultural references seem pretty deliberate. Oh, and the splash looks like a propaganda poster.
This makes me wonder if the lore will be exploring certain Russia-related themes really hard? For example:
##Aristocracy versus proletariat
Or patricians versus plebeians. Swain says "I was born a patrician" and yet sides with 
while opposing the Black Rose (exclusively aristocrats). He seems to stand against outdated, inhumane and outright cruel practices (e.g. child soldiers). Will we get some historical commentary on how the USSR influenced and still influences Russia and the surrounding countries?
Or could Swain be from the post-Soviet era? Darkwill's senseless war with Ionia reminds of Stalin's pointless expansionist campaigns. Noxus being in generally a poor state after Darkwill's reign resembles Russia's state after the USSR.
Could Swain be Putin?
As usual, this is mostly baseless speculation aimed at inspiring discussion.

PS Culturally Noxus seems to be the intersection of Russia and Rome. In real life, this translates to the Balkans. I am yet unsure if this means anything.
