Can we get confirmation that either he's being worked on, at least lore wise even if he never becomes a champion or that he is back logged to some distant future. I mean for him to be the one responseable for the shadow islands is interesting. Is he in mind or will he be like Illoais Ntgabanana, idk how to spell his name so that's his new name, and just meantioned in lore faintly.
I believe the word you were looking for is Nagakabouros. But this is a fun idea. I would like to see another Shadow Isles champion, after a Void champion, of course.
What's with people wanting the Ruined King to be a champion?
He's just another faceless soul in the malestorm that is the Black mist.
He's not important, at all.
In general the big question would be how they could make the ruined king unique among the champion roster.
I mean pretty much every shadow isles champ represents a different kind of undead or has something else that makes them unique among the champion roster
is a lich
is a haunted armor/death knight
is a vengeful spirit
is a gravedigger/necromancer
is kind of a reaper(has a sickle and collects souls) and he is also a jailer
is a centaur
And we know that human skeletons are taboo,so that won't work either.
since the ruined king has a sword,he would likely be some sort of undead knight,but the whole death knight-theme is kinda taken by Mordekaiser already. A dullahan could still fit the knight theme and be different,but I dunno why the ruined king should have lost his head.
If they didn't mention him in the Shadow Isles event lore then don't expect anything soon
The ruined king could work, but potentially more as a prisoner of his own doing. Trapped within the dark depths of the shadow isles and driven mad with despair at the thought of never seeing his beloved.
Mordekaiser is the Tyrant. Make the Ruined king a ruined king.

riot should make him into a knight mage who can corrupt enemy's his powers would come from his sword his ulti should be more like stacking killing minions jungle champs or champions then ulti would release a blast that does damage in a strait line i guess they should name it the soul cannon [zombie-nunu-hearts]
For me, the only hype around the Ruined King is the fact that he 'supposedly' has an undead army, Morde has and undead army, and they may clash. I don't think he has any goals as a character, all he wanted was to save his waifu, this is where Riot comes in an actually makes him interesting as a character and fleshes out his current purpose. Though I did have an idea, what if Thresh gave Sena to the Ruined King because the king thought she looked like his wife and now he's just chilling with Lucian's wife in the middle of the Isles this would make for, some nice development for Lucian as a character.
Idk about him being a champion. But all we know is, he has some form of magic. But he should be among the most important of the Isles story.
