Did Kai'Sa's designer team ever hold a meeting with the lore team?

I'm a weird situation with Kai'Sa, as the more I see her, the more I wonder what the hell happened in her development process.

The main concern about her design I have (or rather, used to have) is the nature of her bodysuit, as it's supposed to be some sort of biological creature that got latched to her and became a symbiote according to the lore, but design-wise it looks like something that came out from Crysis. Yes, we have Project skins, but they aren't part of the actual lore, which means that even if Kaisa overpowered the creature and made it mold itself to her will, she had no context to make it into a tech-bodysuit complete with a visor and holographic guns.

That, however, led me to believe that maybe we were looking at something Metroid-esque, perhaps Kai'Sa met an actual Chozo-like civilization in the Void that aided her with her situation (let's not forget she spent a decade in that place), but the Void lore reveal was just that, ancient stories about the Void, and while it's good lore, it isn't really answering any questions about her life back there.

One would just say "that's cool" when they read that the girl suvived a decade or so in the Void, but then you see her demeanor, her general attitude, it's way too soft for someone who has spent all her early years in a place full of predators. Hell, however she still remembers how to speak in actual human language is beyond me, and she seems to have better manners than most Champions. so maybe Gentleman Cho'Gath is actually a lore skin.

Once again, that could have been explained if actual civilizations had been shown in the Void reveal, but nothing was shown or even hinted at (at least not about current civilizations), which in turn makes Kai'Sa's design nonsensical lore-wise.

I guess in the end this is a more of a rant about the Void still being "spoopy dark place with predators full of teeth.jpg" kind of background even after its reveal and not exactly about Kai'Sa herself.

I think we found a badass hero who rose to the occasion. It was luck that Kai’Sa managed to survive her first encounter with a voidling. It was luck that the creature’s corpse bonded with her body and brain.

Kai’Sa has something like a mythical origin. A piece of Runeterra’s history with the void that may come to light as the heroic tale it is. All too often, we forget that it can be possible to weather the storm. Kai’Sa acknowledges her situation, and where others may have fled or surrendered, Kai’Sa refuses to accept that the Void is without defeat.

Wut.

" make it into a tech-bodysuit complete with a visor and holographic guns."

Wut.

There's no technology involved in her base skin at all. She doesn't have guns. She shoots plasma out of her hands. It's not a visor in the same way as Ashe's, it's the void-being covering up the host body to ensure it's safety.

I kind of doubt you have read her lore because a lot of what you claim is off. She never lived in the void, just near one of the entrances/rips.
