now i don't know what kinda stuff goes down in gamer fantasy land, but it's pretty obvious that even though you say youre not homophobic, when you're saying homophobic things you're a homophobe. it's literally that simple. this isnt some stupid puzzle from some idiotic game with some secret depth or justified necessary evil kind of thing, this is a real person. he actually wrote that. he actually thinks that because he doesnt see gay relationships as legitimate enough to garnish sympathy (you can see by the 'wow. what depth' comment) because somehow he got it in his head that old varus didnt kill people on the regular (????)

sure, is everyone a raging homophobe? no, but will i believe you if you're saying dumb things like this isnt about the fact that theyre gay? also no. this is a case by case basis that is HEAVILY influenced by the fact that varus old lore was so terrible that its almost incomprehensible that someone could not see the new lore as an improvement is if they just flat out hate gay people. and the people who actually liked old varus lore? they don't care. they know that varus literally had the same story as literally 100s of other fictional characters and was in no way unique at all, so they can just flock over to the next generic lone wolf with nameless dead wife out for revenge

The fact that the complaints started over a week before there was a hint of homosexuality in the story is irrelevant?

Wow. Before you use a post as the main point of your argument why don't you actually read it...

One thing that has been going on with pride and whatever is that companies USE it to their advantage by creating "controvery" although in reality no one gives a fuck about whether or not characters are gay. I feel that Rito thought that the Varus = gay thing would be a major part of his lore now so they removed his tragic

Riot don't give a rat's ass about gay people. If they did they would have released a stand-alone champion, and yet they didn't... They are just using it, because the topic always creates a big fuss and it is also convenient - if you don't like something that has gays in it you are automatically labeled a homophobe. Why don't you stop and think for a second before jumping on the defensive, if anything you should be pissed at riot for pulling such a move, because they didn't have the balls to make a character of his own right gay.

A lot of people think you need to be constantly shouting "%%%got" to be homophobic or constantly shouting "N&gger" to be racist.

But honestly it's also little stuff like down playing the love of two men in comparison to the love of a woman and man. It's bigotry.

But god forbid someone admit they're homophobic or racist. They know it's wrong but don't want to be viewed as a bad person despite their bad morals. It's so silly and disgusting.

It's not homophobic to believe homosexual relationships are wrong or to believe they have no place in a video game.
