New Jinx and Vi Lore Rant

Ok, im really not one make rant threads but this is very disappointing to me.

In the new Zaun and Piltover lore, There is nothing connecting Vi and Jinx except for that they are both from Zaun. Seriously, All we got was that When Jinx and Vi came face to face, words was passed that only those two know. That's it. I waited for weeks in anticipation for Jinx's new lore, waiting to find out what's the connection between the two. Nothing. Vi's new lore stated that she possibly joined Cait because of Jinx's appearance in Piltover. Ok. Nothing is answered here. We don't even get their origins, just rumors or possibilities. And the community was ALWAYS interested in the Jinx and Vi rivalry.

Just wow......Jinx, as well as Vi, are two of my favorite characters in League of Legends and I have to say I am very disappointed. How long will it be before we actually find out why Jinx targets Vi? When will there be some actual backstory for these two.....

IMO Riot put a little way too much effort on trying to make the Jinx-Vi-Caitlyn rivalry/relationship stuff a thing. It makes things seem like Jinx has ties only with Vi and absolutely no one else.

For a character like Jinx who is entirely built around being a mad ball of chaos it hurts the character if we understand why they behave the way they do. We don't know Jinx's backstory for the same reason that we don't know the Joker's in most Batman continuities.

ATM characters are being updated to fit with the current lore of Valoran, not to advance it (for the most part, anyway). For a story hook as big as 'why Jinx is obsessed with Vi', they're gonna save it for its own story, if they cover it at all. Same reason why 'MF kills Gangplank' was made into an event of its own.

With the recent lore updates going around, it probably wont get updated til yrs from now. Honestly, was it too hard to just explain why she targets Vi? Was it really not worth to just give us **1 ** hint of their rivalry? The bilgewater event went deep into why MF wanted GP dead. This is no event, but piltover/ Zaun will never get one that level so waiting for something like that is meaningless. This is just to keep story hooks and theories going on, and honestly i'm getting tired of it.

Probably not, no. That's kind of a problem with League's lore at the moment; it's gonna take forever for the story to advance. It'll probably go faster once the lore is fully updated but that'll take at least another year.

Why not? Because this is technically the would be Piltover/Zaun event. Why would they revisit it with some sort of Summer event? There is literally nothing to look to, not something like MF vs Gp. There is no rising point for these Cities. Not everything is connected enough for it.

They can have more than one. As HT said, they're fleshing out the current story of Valoran and once that's solidified they will progress the stories more.

Bilgewater isn't nearly as big as Zaun & Piltover combined, the main story there is GP VS MF so that's what that story was told in so much detail. I think the Fizz & Nami stories will come later and were rightfully left out of Bilgewater. Now Riot could actually explore the depths of the oceans in their stories.

Well one reason why we probably won't ever see a Bilgewater size event with Plit-Zaun is because they officially said they're not doing Bilgewater size events anymore.

It's true they didn't reveal much about their relationship however, the new lore really does expand on jinx and why she has her motives.She has more depth than "Likes explosions, dislikes rules" now and considering the interaction between Jinx and Warwick, Jhin traveling to Zaun, and just the sheer amount of story hooks surrounding the area I wouldn't be suprised that they might have more Zaun related lore in the not so distant future.

It's fine to explore in depth why she does things. But I find if not ok to not explore why she is obsessed with Vi. Especially after that's what we've all been waiting for.
