New Jinx and Vi Lore Rant

Ok, im really not one make rant threads but this is very disappointing to me.

In the new Zaun and Piltover lore, There is nothing connecting Vi and Jinx except for that they are both from Zaun. Seriously, All we got was that When Jinx and Vi came face to face, words was passed that only those two know. That's it. I waited for weeks in anticipation for Jinx's new lore, waiting to find out what's the connection between the two. Nothing. Vi's new lore stated that she possibly joined Cait because of Jinx's appearance in Piltover. Ok. Nothing is answered here. We don't even get their origins, just rumors or possibilities. And the community was ALWAYS interested in the Jinx and Vi rivalry.

Just wow......Jinx, as well as Vi, are two of my favorite characters in League of Legends and I have to say I am very disappointed. How long will it be before we actually find out why Jinx targets Vi? When will there be some actual backstory for these two.....

IMO Riot put a little way too much effort on trying to make the Jinx-Vi-Caitlyn rivalry/relationship stuff a thing. It makes things seem like Jinx has ties only with Vi and absolutely no one else.

For a character like Jinx who is entirely built around being a mad ball of chaos it hurts the character if we understand why they behave the way they do. We don't know Jinx's backstory for the same reason that we don't know the Joker's in most Batman continuities.

ATM characters are being updated to fit with the current lore of Valoran, not to advance it (for the most part, anyway). For a story hook as big as 'why Jinx is obsessed with Vi', they're gonna save it for its own story, if they cover it at all. Same reason why 'MF kills Gangplank' was made into an event of its own.

It's true they didn't reveal much about their relationship however, the new lore really does expand on jinx and why she has her motives.She has more depth than "Likes explosions, dislikes rules" now and considering the interaction between Jinx and Warwick, Jhin traveling to Zaun, and just the sheer amount of story hooks surrounding the area I wouldn't be suprised that they might have more Zaun related lore in the not so distant future.
