Why do people in the story & art section think Lore is more important than Penta Kills?
I'm from the E-Sports section and I just don't get it? Look - Can we at least agree that the game should have a good balance of lore and penta kills?

My real response is that for a lot of us the characters and the world in which they live in interest us. Reading an ongoing story that explains why they constantly battle for supremacy adds context to the gameplay, and learning about that fleshes characters personalities out and makes them more interesting to play.
For example,
is a devoted knight who charges into battle for the defense of his homeland and the glory of his king. This is kind of standard and generic. But with his lore and backstory you also add in his little sister
, who joins him on the field of battle for Demacia, and
the enemy agent whom Garen has the hots for. This adds layers to Garen. He's not just a knight in shining armor; he's also a dedicated and watchful brother worried for his sister's well-being who is faced with the temptation of forbidden passion across enemy lines.
Backstory and Lore adds depth to the setting and the characters and makes them more engaging and relatable, and makes it feel like the gameplay matches mean somethng to the combatants. It's like, if the movie Gladiator wasn't about a man who had lost everything fighting the corrupt Powers That Be for his freedom, and it was just about some dude who fights in arenas because that's just his thing, it wouldn't be as interesting.
Obvious troll is obvious. If only it had Impetuals name, it would be supper obvious trolling.
