So about these "Beefcake" reworks.
Note: I'm on my phone, so this isn't going to have much in the way of article set up.
So with the recent reveal of Yorick's new model, we have some complaints and praises on how Yorick is now "hot"
Squidward seems to explain this reaction the best: https://67.media.tumblr.com/6b8a5e04658834730d26b899adf16dc6/tumblr_inline_mknpyrvecb1qz4rgp.jpg
Yorick isn't the first champion in a rework to come out with some rugged good looks. Taric was the most obvious, but even Sion got some more pronounced muscle. These new models however fit in more with the fantasy of these champions, with Taric being basically Fabio and Sion being a human battering ram in life.
Of course this makes Yorick's new model rather confusing. Yorick isn't meant to look like a medieval biker (Vandal skin please?) but an undead wretch doomed to undeath until he can find peace.
This is of course the old Yorick, who had severe gameplay issues. So it's possible that they have changed Yorick's connection with his lore in some way. Given how long it has been since the ruination, it's possible that Yorick has stopped allowing himself to be a mere servant and seeks to regain control of his actions. Doing so in the hopes of finally finding peace.
As a rioter said, he has a cape made from the black mist. So this could indicate his force of will and how he has his own power.
But now I want to talk about the real reason I made this post: Urgot.
Riot, I love your reworks. I love how you bring the models closer to the character, but even I worry you may take a step in the wrong direction.
So when you finally get around to Urgot, do not make him sexy.

Look at him. LOOK AT HIM. Does this look like something we want to be made sexy? No! Urgot is a being that is in constant pain, suffering every waking minute of his life, but keeps himself going because he wants vengeance. Even Viktor doesn't think Urgot should be alive, but he defies science with pure hatred.
Urgot must remain a vile creature that has death as number 2 on his bucket list. Right under killing his murderer and humilator: Garen, the so called Might of Damacia.
I don't play Urgot. I don't even like his kit. But this is something that is central to his character. A hatred that not even death will deny.
Also I hope Warwick's new model is as savage as his new splash.
That is all.
into a beafcake. It would be interesting to say the least.
