Alistar VU? No new VO.
I'm curious what the decision was with this, considering they have roughly the same amount of lines and such. Did you guys know what Trist is but sketchy on Alistar? Some event you can't talk about yet? Etc.
I'm going to say it's because people actually play trist and people don't play ali much.
Ali is a small update... he didn't need an audio change because his champion is still pretty much the same visually and gameplay wise. Trist on the other hand they gave her more personality to the look and feel of the character, so she really needed that new audio to go with it.
They do that too the bigger updates rather then the small ones. Look at Maokai, Renekton and Cassiopia. They are small field updates that just came with cleaning up the current model and textures with no Voice changes. Then you have Twtich, Heimierdinger, Sivir and so on that are a larger scale who came with Visual changes, gameplay changes and all of them had Voice updates.
Its because alistar just got a texture update(or Model/texture update),similar to the one singed and maokai got. So he just gets a new model and some new spell effects
Tristana on the other hand gets a full VU,it is like throwing the old champion out of the window and making a completely new champion instead it is similar to the karthus or twitch update.
They most likely decided to give tristana a full VU because they still experiment with yordle anatomy and thus wanted some bigger changes.
It has to do with if the right person for the job is there or not.
