Why is Sylas so BLAND
So, going to ignore everything gameplay wise about Sylas (some people say he's broken, others say he's kinda weak, haven't played him, don't know) Lets just talk about his character design... He wears no real identifying armor, gear or clothing, he's just a beefy shirtless guy with chains on him.... I just don't understand him, he feels so bland, uninspired, generic, and he has no real significance to any of the lore, so why did riot make him? He's supposed to be a rebel, unchained, a champion of the people, a kingkiller.
He doesn't look like any of these things.... he looks like yasuo with shorter hair, Vi's gauntlets, and some pointless chains that randomly extend to be way longer than they actually are. IN FACT, they're supposedly made of petricite or something, shouldn't he be more effective as an anti mage or something? He just sin't good enough to be the chain champion, THRESH is the chain champion and does it 1000 times better than the Pyke/Akali/Vi ripoff He looks like a bad OC.
He simply doesn't belong in the world of rune terra and I fail to see how, from an aesthetic and lore standpoint, this guy makes ANY sense.... There are much better things in the lore to use that would make for really cool champion concepts. The Raptor Knights of Demacia The Rope Riding Raider guys of shurima, don't remember what they're called (imagine a champion that has to like, set up all these ropes and stuff which he can then freely ride around the map and use for ganks/area denial) Theres also the fact that Sivir has the capability to ascend the sun disc, she could be reworked into something REALLY cool and her kit feels pretty dated anyways (basically hasn't changed since release) Sivir rework when?
I could list more, but you get the idea, there are so many cool bits of lore and cool locations, organizations, experiments and things like that to make champions out of, but instead we get a bland uninspired edgelord who looks like rejected concept art from a god of war game.
Also where is star guardian urgot.
