I hope so, that is what she would have definely done in her old lore, but I am a little skeptic about her now. But seriously. Fuck Targon, let the mountain fall.

Now now, we need to hear a Targonians side of the story. As it stands though, seems like they might just "claim" worlds by establishing a base there, putting mortals through trials, and then taking over their bodies as a reward with varying levels of control left to them. Maybe every world they've claimed has a Mount Targon.

True, but right now, with the corrupted Solari, the celestial aspects being in disaray, and we don't know what happen to Targons history up until now. Things don't look too good for Tagon's Image.

While I think that she would feel pity for Aurelion,I could also see her hesitate to free him.

I mean what if Aurelions reaction is like "thank you,too bad that I'm gonna destroy your planet now so that I can finally forget this nightmare"

What they did to aurelion was wrong,but I doubt that Leona would trust a giant bitter space dragon-god.

It could be a case of Leona cutting a deal with him (in a sense): She frees him from the curse, and Sol spares Runeterra and its sun (and moon) from destruction.

The thing is that its a really risky deal,where she risks all the lifes on runeterra.

Because in the end there is nothing that prevents sol from just going back on his word once he is free(though i doubt he would destroy the sun as it is one of his beloved stars)

And given that Sol is extremely bitter about what happened to him,I'd say it is really unlikely that Leona would trust him(heck he might want to kill Leona too,given that leona likely has another aspect of targon inside her).

She might not have much choice if Sol's gonna destroy Runeterra if she DOESN'T free him.

I... reaallllly don't think that would happen. Aursol's been bound for an incredibly long time, maybe even eons. He's also been hating Taragon and by extension Runeterra for all that time. Now, people do irrational things in their anger, and we can barely live a century. You really think his rage would be mollified so easily?

Actually itd make sense sorta. At the end on Leona's story she learned about something and needed to find Diana Asap. Could be about Sol.

not only Leona but also Diana may help free Sol while Panth and Taric will try to enslave him again.

this may end with that neat quest/event thing like during Bilgewater story where we could pick sides and get free character icons. We could chose Diana and Leona side or Panth and Taric, etc

Leona's morality is sort of shaped entirely around what the Solari believe in, because she's so heavily indoctrinated into their ideas. If the Solari are aware of Aurelion, and especially his whole thing about blowing up the sun, IE: The Focus Of Their Entire Religion, she's probably been told he's a complete and utter monstrosity.

She could end up changing her mind, but I wouldn't say it's confirmed to really be in character for her right now. Depends on how the Solari interact with AS, which we haven't totally seen yet.

That's very true, Aurelion could be celebrated as sort of a god to the Solari. (I mean, they are the SOLari)

In which case yeah, she'd probably be into helping him out.
