Let's be honest here, VGU's have become the thing I look forward the most, especially since most of the recent ones have become champions I thoroughly enjoy playing. Not to mention all the cool Lore and art we get from VGU's.^ ^

Yes - on every other mage, but Morg can just use her ult, Zhonya and either they disengage and you're fine, or you chain-CC them and kill them.

rtbf2256182411 votesYou think ult - Zhonya will do anything? Assassins are mobile, they'll move out of the ring and lunge at you again. You're also assuming they are already in R range when they get hit with Q. I understand some people are but not everyone is that dumb.
You're basically telling me Morgana has no counterplay except that she very well has. Not to mention there is such a thing as QSS which is much cheaper than Zhonya's.

You're completely disregarding opposing itemization and how the opponent may be able to interact with minions or how far they are from you when you zhonya. If you are far enough, they'll move out-move back in. If you are right next to them and try to hold on to the Zhonya in an attempt to have them just try and escape you, they may try to kill you instead, rooting them but the root expiring when you exit the Zhonya. Not to mention they may just cc you somehow, like a Zed E and run out with Ghostblade.

I'm seeing it as a Tristana style VGU.

The real question is whether they're comfortable doing two champs from the same faction after one another. With what's left it may become difficult to keep alternating the moods between champs. There's some pretty angry ones left.

LostFr0st1 votessee, idk about being there due to the recent passive changes. They seem to have tried really hard on that as a solid bandaid until his turn (depending on how the Nunu players feel but I see no posts yet anywhere).
I'd swap that with cause I still want to go to the Freljord.
It would also give an excuse to update

Another option could be , but maybe they'd wait to see the way he interacts with the forecasted changes to crit mid season? I think Ryze has had enough turns for now.
They do seem overly hype about getting a chance to work on though, you're definitely right about that.

Need to target the pizza feet and malfunctioning kits first imo.

It's more the permaslow from good Olaf Qs combined with his ulti making it so he's completely uncounterable when ahead. It's the pre-rework Poppy problem.

His model is ugh, his kit is a balance nightmare and whenever I get him in ARAM the VO destroys my ears.
Pantheon, Irelia (though to be fair she could get away with just a VU, but I think a lot of people would prefer VGU),Mundo, Swain and Cho'Gath are also good candidates.
Mordekaiser kind of needs one too, but they kind of reworked him recently(ish) so I don't know if they want to touch him again.
Unless he becomes the next Ryze.

I think it'd be Nunu and Mordekaiser or Pantheon. They all seem like the strongest candidates to me- With Nunu being the most outdated (IMO) and both Mordekaiser and Pantheon are sort of like Warwick's case, with them having a ton of untapped potential in their ideal archetype (Death Knight and God of War) and being fairly outdated (while also being a bit of a design/gameplay mess).

Personally? I really want it to be Nunu and Mundo first (Sorry MM :P), though, honestly. I've been craving for a Nunu VU (and now a VGU) since about 2013 and I feel like Mundo has a ton of potential and could be super cool with all new and modern art, design and VO that would match his new bio and story (which I really enjoyed).
But again, I wouldn't be opposed to a Mordekaiser VGU instead of the Madman of Zaun.
