Like no offense, but I was hoping it would be a male mostly because I'm sick of the cutsy female spamtron mages in this game. I was hoping for something hardcore, apocalyptic, Wizardly for crying out loud. Not butterflies in bubbles......ffs.......

blood thirsty warrior. 
evil wizard thingy. They all actually have the feel of their genre. The females of this game just feel festered with sex appeal or cutsy none-sense. No not all of the females, but most of them. Meaning they are created more so to be cute or sexy rather than to fit the image of the champion. The male champions are just more straight forward on their theme.

Plus, correct me if I am wrong, but why is it bad that their armor is changed to be more comfortable given their different body shape than men? Is this not practical? I can side with you on stuff like the whole "battle heels" thing that shows up sometimes, but not the armor.

Cute? Sure. Deadly and can penta your whole team? You bet. A perfect Syndra or Annie stun can decide the fate of the game in the last team fight. As for your "sexy" comment, sex sells, and Riot makes skimpy skins because of horny teenage boys that they know will buy them.
It's not just the females, though. Most of the guys are attractive and ripped (cept Gragas, Zilean, Urgot, Velkoz, Rammus, Xerath and Karthus...and the yordles, but they are "cute"). Even Rengar and Kha can be incorporated into sex appeal (bears and beastiality).
What champions do you feel don't "fit" their theme? I'm actually curious.

LostFr0st2 votes??? He's confirmed to be the designer on the new champ. The DNA pod works as a team. In the end, their ideas resonate with one another to create the champ as a whole. I doubt any members of the pod want a cookie-cutter champ with bubbles.
So again, I'd be very very surprised if there wasn't a twist.

Yeah, I'm very hyped for it. They've been on a real role lately. Next patch might even bring back my AP Galio <3

It's been too long since we visited the Glade and I really hope this new Mage is about being a trickster Burst Mage, fitting of the playful yet sinister thing the Glade has going (I say sinister because Pix is often jokingly said to be evil because he basically stole Lulu's life away from her to go play in a magical world).

Combine that with the hint word "sleep" (also found in the article) and I think we're getting something so much more than just sparkles and cuteness.
Quite the opposite in fact- I feel like her theme is going to delve into the psychic realm of "twilight": Dreams, illusions, hallucinations, sleep, some sort of mind control, even nightmares, etc.
And I'm so hyped for that. :)
