Well, you see, during release, we release some random video or comic that just shows the character doing something rather tham his actual backstory, so we can pass it off for "lore development". Please remember that this character has no ties to any other champions, nor will he ever appear or be mentioned in the lore again.
Sincerely
Riot Employee
But all those /taunt's no one will ever hear doe
Yeah. Gotta love 'em.
"We're divorcing lore from gameplay."
"Oh, check his VO for more lore tidbits!"
Riot's Narrative doesn't even know hot to divorce Lore and gameplay correctly.
Haha, I'd say they divorced them pretty good. Name how many times a game you actually hear a lore taunt? No, never? How about of all the games per month? Hmm, not a single time?
Being 100% honest, Ive only heard of one lore taunt happen in game since the release of [Yasou?] and it was in an aram about two weeks ago where our Yasou taunted the enemy Riven. I remember this because I took my hands off the keyboard and said "There it is! This was the moment Riot was waiting for! All their hard work paid off!"
At first I thought these lore taunts were pretty spiffy but now that Riot has completely jumped off the deep end with Tahm and as well as several of the champs before him, it only annoys me Riot spends sooo much time on something entirely pointless. At champ release everyone reads all the taunts on the wiki and every taunt will never be heard again.
You're missing my point.
They said they are divorcing lore and gameplay. But then they go and put lore ONLY in the game. The place they are saying lore has no effect, no bearing and doesn't mean a thing.
See what I mean?
Its the typical short lore that we are getting now almost for a year.
Like seriously,
,etc.all got them.
Ever since we get these short lores we basically get a teaser for the champ,a short lore and another lore piece(azir&Kalista got lore pieces on the boards, rek'sai got the diary entry,Bard got the mountain video,Ekko got the comic).
