SOOOOOOO apparently theres a new champ teaser on the PBE...and according to the quotes and splash art, i have some theories.

Firstly on the quotes: You can already tell he's probably going to be a jungler. But. One of his quotes is: "Why kill when you can just ask?" According to this quote, id say one of his abilities is to take the smite bonus from jungle monsters without actually needing to smite. Which means he woulds get a lot of benefit even if he's not jungler, go to krugs for extra damage on towers, tromp for more damage, etc. Also, since the monsters don't actually die, their "respawn" times would probably be reduced.

TO THE SPLASH ART So, apparently this is Sorag. From his weapon, a staff, id think he would be a ranged champion, which isn't really common for junglers. But, look at his theme. If you play Terraria, you will know that his armour resembles the Leaf wings. Could it be related? No idea, but it would be a cool easter egg.

My theory is that I don't trust that splash art. At all. I'm super sceptical.

I hope for the love of god it's a fake splash, because that design is probably the least inspired character design I've seen in years. Looks like something you'd see in a League of Angels pop up.

It also disappoints me as I would've expected a lord of the forest style character, not a Wow centric druid one.

Things are still up in the air of course but I always get excited at the prospect of delving in to the supernatural and spiritual.

The quotes are real,its only the splash that seems to be fake. After all Riot has tried to subdue other leaks in the past(the only exception was jhins splash which was leaked a day before jhins reveal,so they likely didn't even bother anymore with it).

However this artwork was released over a month ago,so riot would have likely taken it down before.

Also while the artstyle looks similar,the pose of the character pretty much hides his entire body,which would be really weird for a splash art.

That splash is most likely not related to League in any official way, as it was posted on the artist's Artstation more than a month ago.

maybe. i still think it might be related as 3 days ago someone posted that it is prob a new champion? also the style of this art looks similar to most League splashes...still, maybe. gotta see how this plays out

I mean, no matter who/why someone reposted it, the splash was posted for the first time at least one month and a few days ago. Rioters would never post such a thing a month and a half ahead of the full reveal of the champion without having it taken down by the next day/few hours (let alone posting it intentionally).

But the style is indeed very similar to League's, so I wouldn't be surprised if the artist, Jun Yu, was inspired by the game's splashes. I'd also not be surprised if Riot actually end up hiring Jun Yu at some point in the future, even if just for outsourcing every once in a while. :P

######I would say, though, that the design of this character in Jun Yu's illustration doesn't look like League's style of design, so that makes me doubt it being official in any way even further.

The post was in june, posted on the forum page of another chinese MOBA game. 99% likely that the splash art has nothing to do with LoL.
