they explained that they didnt want him to have big wave clear or something but i call bullshit a huge amount of mages have built in wave clear its what all mages do....unless they single target only mages....

Well Viktor cleared casters with one ability from 1025 units away after spending 1000 gold. Compare that to someone like Ahri who has to have over an item to clear the casters with just Q. It made his laning phase extremely safe since he was GUARANTEED 3/6 creeps every single wave for at most 110 mana (which isn't a problem since he has a fairly high "base" mana pool due to Hex Core).

Ahri (who has been confirmed many times to be a mage over assassin) was merely an example and not to be taken too seriously as my end all be all argument for Viktor having way too strong of waveclear. Fine, let me use another example: Ziggs needs Luden's to clear casters with Q and typically needs E to help out for the most part. Xerath is another mage that needs items to clear the casters OR to use both Q and W to clear them. Viktor is the huge outlier that spent 1000 gold to have guaranteed farm for a majority of the laning phase....and scaled to the point he 100-0'd non-tanks fairly easily.

i was not going to answer since i couldnt think of much but then i remember something this argument is bullshit.Vic has one AOE spell for damage out side of Ult and his sheild being single target.He deserves to have good wave clear with his only AOE ability that isnt an Ult every single mage you can list has more then one ability to damage multiple targets lets not forget its easy to dodge his second line which he needs to pay for to use.i almost gave up until i actually thought about it .

That doesn't seem like a very smart decision on Riot's part if it is. Yes, Rek'sai has been fairly prominent in the competitive scene....but that is all she is since she is a fairly lackluster champion in anything below Diamond due to her constantly getting nerfed due to the competitve scene being able to utilize her entire kit via communication. 90% of the player base is below plat and only (I think) 50% are above gold which means well over 75% of the players getting this skin aren't going to be able to utilize the champion very well and thus don't really care if they get it outside of "Well at least I get a free 6300 IP champion if I don't own her?"

The previous Victorious Skins (Sivir, Morgana, Elise, Jarvan, Janna) have all been prominent champions in their respective seasons, but have also been fairly easy champions (barring maybe Elise). Also, another thing to consider is pickrate in regular games as well where Rek'sai hasn't really passed 10% pickrate in a loooong time in dynamic queue. Most of these champions that got the Victorious skin had a fairly large pickrate in their respective seasons (Sivir being THE ADC for most of the season, Morgana being tier 0 support when they first implemented the spellthief's line, Elise being pick/ban with Lee Sin, etc.).

The more likely candidate would be something like Gangplank, Jhin/Ashe, Karma, or even Braum who have all been fairly strong for the last half of the season and have been VERY high in the pick/ban rate. Viktor would also make the most sense for mid lane since he was THE mid laner for like 5 patches after the MYMU.

Why do people keep spewing this "knockup bot" garbage? She has insanely fast clear and once she gets tiamat she has the potential to solo kill people, giving her insane pressure around the map.

Just my opinion. With the buffs she could be stronger but idc, she's boring as hell to me at least.

Why is this skin even a thing? A champion who is played a lot is due mainly to them being over powered, which, I would remind you Riot keeps in such a state.

I found it strange out of all the champions for the Brazilian wild card tournament they promoted Quinn. Could be a teaser for her but she only had the spotlight for a month if that in competitive. Would be cool though and would fit the theme. Plus riot considers her a mid laner apparently so there's a chance.
