Her animations are totally fine, though I imagine her textures could use the same kind of reflective shine that Leona now gets. I also imagine they'll probably want to reduce her model's chest size on all skins, what with their whole "nerf oversized boobs" mentality as of late (though in Lux's case it's very sensible).

Right now the whole skin-tight body suit with boob-plate isn't doing it for the team, and we have the opportunity to make her something that still sweet, charming, really lovely, but smarten up the design a bit. Make her feel like she's garbed up in Demacian fashion for the nobility-level, light-hearted battle mage that she is.
I have some iterations lying around that we might put into pre-production. She's in a bucket of champions which we consider "high value", in that they might not need huge overhauls and the rigs are mostly healthy.

i was thinking of an attire that combines the aspect of lux's demacian nobility (high class clothing, very regal and elegant) with her connections to the demacian military as the battle mage character, combining the 2 as a high class honor guard look. im having a hard time putting this into words so ill try to use pictures:

if this was a little more high class looking would be closer to what i was picturing? the skin tight body suit wasn't a very good design, but i certainly don't think lux should be a revealing character, so some modest wardrobe concepts.

these are pretty good examples of the "armor vs elegance" thing but i think her attire wouldn't have much bottom flare, its hard to run around in heels and long dress tails y'know?

i would imagine Lux's final design not being so bottom-garment heavy like that. like you said, girls gotta move around as a battle mage. so whatever she's wearing should be practical

RiotIronStylus5 votesNot screams Demacia as in military garb, but something evocative of Demacian motifs, worked into something that's elegant and classy but has a bit of flared armor-like elements. In this case, I am NOT for adding armor in terms of bulk, and I wouldn't want to see just like.. girl-Garen or something weird like that. I squint my eyes and to me Lux reads as a super-positive color guard teenager. That's gotta stay I feel.

Salganos2 votesI'd hate to see her current outfit go (specifically the one in the splash, which is somewhat different from the model's), as I like its combined sleekness and flashiness. But I must admit to having a massive bias towards ladies wearing skin-tight bodysuits under accessories, especially armor. It's ... a thing.
Being lightly armored does make some thematic sense though, given her connections to Demacia's military. Armies would generally want their mages wearing something more protective than plain clothing (I'm not evaluating the actual practicality of her current armor, of course). So I suppose, accounting for my quirks, having some armor, in some sense, feels like it should be an important part of her base design to me.

We were promised a skin that wasn't military like 90% of her skins and it still hasn't happened. :/ Also, I really really hope you don't turn her classic skin into something even less feminine and more military and boring. If her old Judgment stays canon, it would make more sense to have her not being fashionable like a noble. She is noble, indeed, but she was taken away from her family by the military and suffered for it until she got indoctrinated enough to uphold the values they taught her; the judgment was also about the doubt she upheld those things because she believed them or because they stuffed them in her head. In this case scenario, the IoW notwithstanding, shouldn't she be pushed on the military side of the spectrum? She was taken from her family and doesn't now have the freedom granted to her by the status of champion in the IoW. She was instructed in a indoctrinating way in a military ambient, she shouldn't really be fashioned as generally nobles are. I don't say I'm against her being made less "military" or saying the community wants her Garened up (it's pretty much the contrary, most likely), but to preserve that old piece of lore of her, which has more than a few appreciators (there was a topic about it here around the boards), an update of her looks should tread lightly and take this into account to achieve the most coherent result. Maybe there's a way to get around it, but please don't throw that part of Lux's story away.

I would prefer more neutral colors like her current splash which is primarily silver. Also, keep the skirt :C, Lux is one of the few "girly" (not to be confused with sexy) champions in the League, and I don't want her to lose that.

Comeon IS, you and I have had some fantastic chats in the past about the Diana skin and Morgana's eventual VU, you and I both know that you were involved in the SLL fiasco and after the dust settled Morello said the ball was kinda dropped.
