Blackthorn Morgana's splash art is a net downgrade compared to the old one

Her otherwordly elegance is gone. Her leaves-feathers are gone. The attention to the finest detail is gone. The feeling that she was one with the forest is gone. She even lost the spotlight in her own damn splash art.

I really don't feel the changes to her character design and I don't feel that pose either.

I was excited for this rework, but now I'm scared to see how she's going to look like in-game.

I heavily disagree. She previously looked like an ambiguous Blood Elf who kind of blended lazily into the background. The new splash shows a very epic fight scene between Blackthorn, who you can clearly see is surrounded by briars everywhere as she's invading what appears to be Viridian Kayle's forest.

As far as the art goes; the new one is an upgrade. Its clear that the painters who did the recent one have more skill and knowledge then the old one. The leafs in the old one look like feathers(which is not intentional so don't try to argue that there suppose to look like that). the pose is mediocre and plain. and there is no separation between her and the background. Also, the render in the new one is cleaner the anatomy is clearer, and more accurate. The old one uses amateur shading with terrible textures which don't match the object present. And finally the color coordination is a mess. Now the new one isn't perfect but it's definitely better , technically. Of course art is subjective but skill is not. you may like the other one but the skill is sub par in terms of riot splash arts now.

Her wings are just giant leaves now, but I do see your point there. And the Splash will be more centered on her in-client, and Loading screen (the only important detail) omits Kayle entirely. There's worse group splashes, but I do hope to see this one improved with those details!

I do like the idea that Blackthorn Morgana is a similar nature (excuse the pun) to Zyra - a plant that became human or something, and that she's not a nature witch but nature itself, in a witch form. Rather than the roots grasping at her, she's just someone who's there.

I'd say most of Morgana's new designs are a net downgrade, but that's just me.

I actually don't mind the splash... The only thing I despise is the fact that apparently now she permanently has short hair. Her hair was my favorite part of this splash item 3151

The thing that stands out so much about the new splash art is that the shading feels flat... especially the leaves on her hips. Not sure but, the shading of Morgana's breasts looks a bit weird, in the perspective of the splash art, we're on the left side of Morgana, the light source is on the right side of Morgana, we should be able to see some shadows on her right breast being casted by her left breast.
