Does Poppy sound like Tristana
I honestly can't tell the difference.. it is pretty disturbing

NOT GONNA LIE....I'm really not keen on how she sounds a lot like a Tristana rework twin. The actress isn't awful, she just doesn't feel very Poppy, or at least the personality. I ended up recording some of the lines in the way I was hoping her VO would've leaned more toward. If anyone wants to give it a listen, it's on my Tumblr over yonder.
Well, let's see.
They're both yordles.
Both short.
Both female.
I'm pretty sure they might sound "similar" if for no other reason than body type and race, but their voices are not 1:1 identical.
I don't mind that Poppy has a more high pitched yordle like voice but I do mind that they changed her personality to be basically a 180 of her old one. Poppy used to be no-nonsense and confident; new poppy is neither of those things which is disappointing. I liked that old poppy was so different to trist and lulu. To lose all that uniqueness is a bit of a shame.
Combine that with the fact they changed nearly everything about her to be more in line with the new female yordle standard (that Trist exemplifies) people are of course comparing the two. New Poppy is much more like Trist than she is to her original model and character, which makes it easy to complain that they are the same even though that's not explicitly true.
They sound completely different to me, but that's probably because I recognize Poppy's voice actor.
First time I heard it... I had no idea who it was, I knew that I had heard her voice before but couldn't pin where I heard it from. BUT I was sure it wasn't

Actually, I don't think so. If anything, Poppy sounds like a more sane Jinx, simply because they have the same voice actor and I play Jinx a lot, so I could tell right away.
they're recycling voice actors now. voice of shyv voiced cass vu.
I thought it was the same voice actor at first; they're definitely very similar, but after a few times they start to sound different
idk, i'm not in pbe
