@Riot: Could you settle something- does Lamb have a face?

OK, I don't know if this has been covered before (I did as much research as I could but couldn't find anything) but I've been seeing a lot of Kindred fan art where Lamb takes her mask off to reveal face (either animalistic or human) underneath it and it bothers me. Does Lamb have a face under the mask, or is the mask actually her face? I know Lamb and Wolf's forms are malleable depending on how they're perceived by an observer (although the masks are described as a constant) but does THIS representation of Lamb have facial features?

Personally I don't think she should have a face. She's a spiritual being, why would she need to wear a mask to conceal something? And she's the emotionless one, an unmoving mask face suits her better. But can we get some Word of God on this?

It's Draven.

She's a spirit. I don't think it matters, especially considering it's the masks that make the characters, make the legends what they are. All I know is that the masks are removable on both Lamb and Wolf.

I've always seen lamb as having a very specific face underneath that mask. But that may just be me, and no, I won't elaborate on what's under there. I'm more keen to hear what you think is underneath that mask and what happens if they were to be taken off or even switched.

So... no answer from Riot? It's not like it's a big secret, it's a simple yes/no question: does she have a face?

I always thought it was the Masks which IS KINDRED. The other part is just the ghostly part. Like the goat and wolf part is just the form they choose to use.

The Masks can be taken off so I assume they do have faces. Apparently if they do take them off it means REALLY bad shit is about to go down. As for what their faces look like, I like to think Wolf would have... you know a Wolf's face, but Lamb's would have a more human appearance. It would tie together with the whole "Wolf is the emotional best while Lamb is the intelligent individual" thing.

What I theorise is that the masks are what give the entity 'Kindred' any sense of reason. They're what allows this concept of death to give those who it meets a choice. To face death and die peacefully, or run and be hunted by it. If the masks were removed they would likely become unable to inhibit themselves in this way and become a pure form of death, a death without reason who would just rip apart those who met them. Wouldn't be fun for anyone. As for if the masks were swapped I reckon it would break the eternal bond between Lamb and Wolf, which would probably just fuck with death and dying on a universal scale. I consider the masks to be how Lamb and Wolf, as two supposedly separate beings, remain as a single whole. The masks are the reasons why Lamb has knowledge and Wolf has wonder. The implications of a mask swap could turn Wolf entirely ravenous and just cut the strings of life from beings on a whim. It could take away Lamb's sense of duty and lead them away from their place as an entity of death. Honestly, the possibilities for the exact result here are endless but I do think it would turn the man who split himself in two, after all this time, into two actually separate beings. Alternatively, they could return to being that one entity that they both spawned from. I know that the man who split himself in two is a metaphorical being but I am interested to hear what riot has to say about that one entity that originated Lamb and Wolf, if there is anything to say at all. Tl;dr - Bad things and @riot tell me if we'll ever hear more about original LambWolf.

Damn, there are some really great theories here. My favorite: that Lamb reflects your own face. Very cool.

I think it was implied that both wolf and lamb have "something" under their masks that qualify for faces, though they are supposed to be terrifying. I could be wrong.

Doesn't matter Kindred is still a beauty even if she doesn't have a face :P

Baseless speculation here, but..Wolf and Lamb have been confirmed to take different aspects based on who they are appearing in front. The Masks could symbolize that- their true from is "filtered" for the being they have come to take. We know that something really horrible is supposed to happen if the masks are ever removed. Maybe they can only do that when they have no need to filter their true form anymore- as in, once everything else in the universe has died and the only thing left to do is to gaze into eachother's true face.
