His name is Bard, we don't know if he is a "Bard" or not

Seems like a mystical storytelling god

It could also be a title, like Priest or Soothsayer.

If anything I wouldn't be surprised if he is just the Anti-Void Vel'Koz

All knowing mage entity

Even if his name is Bard, it still can work.

The teaser seems to suggest that he IS a bard, not that his name is Bard. "Those of us from the floating villages know of an older name, a name that speaks of a universal truth. The name we took for our kind: Bard" So, the name of the constellation is the Bard (also the Mountain Shrines and Great Caretaker), and that constellation represents truth. The bards took the name of the constellation for their own, to represent their purpose.

We don't even know if his name is Bard. All we know is that "Bard" is the name of the people telling the story. It could end up being the "Bard" people telling the story about the new champ like how someone told the story about Braum
