It isn't just a small conflict,it is an almost everlasting war that has been going for centuries.The freljord event was never meant to lead to some conclusion,it was just there to introduce us to the current situation in the freljord.I mean storywise its not even been revealed that lissandra(the ice witch) is the actual leader of the frost guard,she isn't even really taking part in that war yet.Its like saying "Neither kassadin,not malzahar managed to kill the other one"

3.They and the other nations are keepng each other from doing that.
An all out war could destroy both of them,so why would they risk doing that?Not to mention that other city states could jump into the action too and fall them into the back once they are weakened enough and while the IoW was retconned it is possible that the magic still destroyed most of valoran and they want to avoid further destruction(It is however known from sions lore,that they still have smaller battles at their borders)
4.Well we know now that not all void creatures are intelligent as shown by rek'sai and that not all of them are about eating(shown by vel'koz) and that they can and will turn on each other if their goals clash.
5.We know that the ruined king destroyed the borders between life and death out of grief over something and that their undeads can use the black mist as a form of transportation(and they use it to attack bilgewater),while there are still mysteries about the isles we are getting a clearer picture over time

8.Actually we do know that Anivia froze him and judging from the pictures(and the fact that he was frozen by anivia) it was certainly a watcher that attacked him.
9.Azir has begun rebuilding the capital,that is surely going to take a while before shurima becomes a real nation again.
Again the event was to establish the place not finish its storyline in one go.
10.Other champions,cho'gath,nocturne and brand aren't invincible if they attack a city then they have to consider that they'll be attacked in return and while regular soldiers aren't that much of a threat to them(unless they are seriously outnumbered),other champions are(heck that is basically brands lore,with brand running into a city,trying to burn it down only to get his ass kicked by garen and lux)
11.yeah that needs to get fixed,I hoped that when Singed got a texture update,that his lore will also be updated,but that wasn't the case...
12.A plot point that never existed or made sense at all.
13.Not only him,but kayle,Morgana,Taric,Fiddlesticks and Malphite never got to runeterra and the lores of nocturne,Cho'gath,brand and lee sin are quite the mess too.
