Dark Kin - Universe of League of Legends

The Flame Haired Queen , she used old magic to enslave Darkins https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/265575789892861952/385818094251016204/image.png

A Female darkin, the "sister of Varus" https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/265575789892861952/385818043546075136/image.png We are currently lacking a "support Darkin" , and blood magic originates from Darkins I'm sure something awesome can happen (drain suppport, etc)

Sometimes the lore depicts side-character That aren't quite combative or powerful enough to join the League

But this time they are so powerful, they could be allowed to join the League without a doubt

The flamed haired woman. This begs the question, where was she from who was she? I think she may be a Solari. Flame haired, and decked in golden armor, her magic resembling that of the Ascended, who were transformed via the Sun disk. To add onto that the Darkin seems to be an Alien race, Targon is the only faction known to have involvement with extraterrestrial happenings. She may very well be the Solari we have been hypothesizing to have had a hand i creating Shurima.

Flame haired woman ? You mean ... Evelynn ??

I wonder if the flame haired woman is the thing from the Shadow Isles page...

Edit: This.

The female darkin will almost certainly be added to the game at some point. There are 5 darkin and we have 3 of them, we just need a support and a mid laner. I'm super hyped for both, the current darkin are very warlike physically which is dope but a magic based darkin sounds so damn cool.

The description of the site Varus visited in that lore reminds me heavily of the place Xerath was trapped. Either they make most of their magic prisons the same, or Xerath and the Sister Darkin were in the same place. Cassiopeia got corrupted something fierce by the snake statue when she freed Xerath and Renekton, there could be more to it than just a curse.

As for the flame haired queen, wasn't it implied that she died about the time Varus is imprisoned? Something about "Her last act was to imprison the bow deep within a lightless cell sunk deep beneath a mountain temple overlooking the village of Pallas."

I'm wondering if the queen was a Targonian, her golden armor seems a reference to Leona.

Theory time. What if Varus sister is Brand. Since the rework on Shurima's lore we know that Brand was imprisoned in that ancient tomb beforeXerath and Renekton . Maybe the Fire Darkin is a female but she looks and talks like a male because she is possessing a male marauder's body, Kegan Rodhe. And that tomb could only be opened with a special key: The Chalikar, Sivir's weapon who once belonged to an ascended warrior queen from Shurima, Setaka. Why would she need a magic tomb with a lock for a simple fire beast?

Besides, when Aatrox was released, it was said that 3 Darkin were already revealed to the world, but that was before Kayn was released, So those 3 can only be Aatrox, Varus and someone else (probably Brand).

Also, Brand the is only known champion, besides Aspects and known Darkin, that can actually possess (not corrupt)

But well, we still have 2 Darkin to find ,tho.

Actually Morgana is Varus' sister

What if they released them both! I mean she is a Darkin, and darkins need hosts...

Honestly i just want Varus's sister's name to be Alua, and then possibly cough cough_ the imposter/daughter of the forgotten_ She would have survived by posing as others and assassinating kings and queens secretly throughout history leaving no trace anyone had been there because no one knows her true self except for the very few Darkin that still live.

sadly I doubt the "Flame-Haired Queen" will be a future champion for 2 reasons

  1. She lived many ages ago. Unless she is an immortal of some kind than she is long dead.
  2. Valmar's Mother. In the comic we meet Valmar's Mother, and she has bright red hair. In some stories a head of red hair can be mistaken for a head flaming hair. Another point would be that Mother is also the leader of the village that watches over the pit that Varus is in. Thus one could take it as Valmar and his mother being decedents of the same woman who had originally imprisoned Varus in his own bow.

Hi guys,

Just wanted to assert something else here, but I might be completely oblivious.

What about Sivirs Chalikar / crossblade being the Darkin? Now, I know Sivir has no quotes in-game to support this, and her backstory has nothing to do with the Darkin lore.

But the weapon, however, does not have a clear history. Sivir found it lying around in an old Shuriman tomb. Now, it does turn out to be some sort of key to open a certain chamber within the remnants of the ancient city. Cassiopeia knew this, she was seeking the ancient power allegedly held within and betrayed Sivir. This event brings us Xerath, Renekton and Azir. Also, after Azir saves Sivirs life, he begins restoring the ancient ruins to their former glory.

Now, we know Varus goes to Shurima looking for his sister. He doesn't recognize the lands to be Shurima probably because of Azirs handiwork. The story reads:

[Days earlier, a crook-backed creature with a withered arm and birdlike features had told him this was Shurima, but that couldn’t be true. The Shurima Varus remembered had been a desolate wasteland. “Was I imprisoned for so long?” he wondered.]

And also:

[The new river had exposed the sunken ruins of some ancient structure comprised of pillars and statues of animal-headed gods. Yes, this was the source of the magic he had sensed. Old magic. The kind the flame-haired queen used to enslave his kind.]

Since he feels this magic within Shurima, it is acceptable to think that the queen that's spoken of is in fact Setaka, the ancient ascended queen of Shurima and also the original owner of the Chalikar. It's not unthinkable that she sealed one of the Darkin within her own weapon. In Sivirs lore it is stated that it was a particularly hard artifact to find, even for an experienced tomb raider like herself. It could mean that the crossblade was purposefully well-hidden, to keep the Darkin locked away.

We know Sivir is a powerful warrior with the Chalikar. It's possible it's power is greater because a demon is residing within. Since there is no "struggle" between Sivir and the demon, this theory gets into difficulties, although one explanation could be that this Darkin is not as vengeful as her brethren and does not seek to overpower whoever is wielding the weapon. Or maybe the demon has been weakened or is in some sort of dormant state.

What do you guys think?

By reading about the flame queen i honestly thought it was a Solari ! Maybe the Aspect of the Sun before Leona.

OOOO, Kayle, flame haired queen, Morgana as a darkin. The kayle idea I saw in this post by someone else, and I think Morg fits the female, sister darkin, and kayle's sister too showing why they were sealed and not destroyed.

GrReaper9611/30/2017, 7:50:02 PM2 votes

The comic says there are 5 Darkins "When i unite the 5"
