So is it possible for Leona to actually become part god, later on? I mean she already guides the power of the sun, do you think she could become a god or a demigod of some sort later on? Also if she achieved the status of a God, would people worship her?
I don't think so. She is as much of a hero to the Sun as Diana is to the Moon. Or like Jayce for Piltover.
Her powers aren't unique in a sense that they are super rare. There have been many Solari champions in the past that have had control over it, I'd assume.
I guess that some people would already worship her based on the fact that she was granted the power of the sun. For the solari she is like the chosen one.
I doubt that she could actually become a god,I mean there is nothing that really implies that(and well there is always the question of how a god in Lol is actually defined).
She's an avatar. The literal Sun deity (if there is one) imbues her with its power, for one reason or another. There have been avatars before her, and will be more after her. This is much the same issue with Diana, who is her reverse analogue with the Moon.
Even if we presume there are no actual deities, there are appears to be some magical ritual or circumstance where celestial power is bestowed. It's not unique in that it's a one time event, though she herself is one of a kind. Literal godhood or demigod don't appear to be on the agendas.
She's more a messiah than a god to be. Doesn't stop her from going toe to toe with gods.
It's funny how me and my brother always call Leona the sun goddess yet she's only the servant of the sun.
Not a god but a prophet may be.
