@Riot Summoner Icon Designers
Please remember that icons are displayed within a circular border. When you create icons that are supposed to be distinct from each other, don't design them with the biggest differences around the square edges. For example, take a look at the Bewitching Janna icons. The golden chroma version is an event-exclusive variant, so you'd think it would be noticeably different.
The icon selection interfaces are misleading, since they display the full square icons.

Going to the Icons section of your Collection shows this: https://i.imgur.com/NIfOmY2.png
They look nice and distinct there, don't they? But where do most people see your summoner icon? They aren't looking through the icon selection menu and admiring the full art.

The difference between the two icons seems pretty clear there, right? But wait, we have the preview of how summoner icons will be displayed with next year's loading screen: https://i.imgur.com/xlFaAe4.jpg
It's a circular border, just like every other game/client display other than the selection screens.
The whole point of having such a large number of summoner icons is so that people can customize their accounts and look different. Can you please keep that in mind and not place the most distinguishing features of icons in the corners?
