I wouldnt be surprised if Kogmaw took his eye in a fight.
Lost it during the Invasion of Ionia "Yeah, yeah, invade Ionia you said, it'll be fine you said!"
ripped it out thinking he was

Though in reality he probably lost it in some battle.
Huh, didn't think he lost it, thought he was just blind in that eye to make him look like an old pissed off cat.
