I just view League of Legends as a soulless vehicle designed to siphon money from its brainwashed consumers before it inevitably crashes and burns at which point its greedy corporate leaders will fade into anonymity and enjoy the rest of their wealthy lives. There's no meaning to any of it and I just enjoy it as mental exercise, not even seeing characters as characters or any different from the minions you kill.

It makes it more personal. I think this is why people (myself included) like lore, but to each their own. If that's the way you feel about lore, that's an acceptable opinion.
That being said, League of Legends is a free to play game, and nobody is forced into any purchases to play and enjoy the game. Buying things for league are personal choices, not necessities. I hardly think it's fair to call a business greedy for trying to do what businesses do.

how is it even immersive like you claim when the game itself takes place on a non-canon arena like how OW is totally disconnected from its own lore.
Final Spark Lux3 votesNot all lore is perfect, and 8 years in the making, Riot is still making / changing lore to this date, but there's plenty of it that hasn't been changed, and gives you a good history of things. I choose to not focus on the little discrepancies, but instead on the big picture as a whole.
