For those people who still wonder why Rakan's voice is like that

There are mostly 2 reasons why.

First of, have you ever seen a male bird act smooth and casual around a female bird? They need to be loud and big to get the female bird. The biggest example is the peacock.

The male peacocks show off their feather during courtship display. There are many bird species that do these sorts of things, and it fits the personality of Rakan, trying to show off for his girl.

The second reason is he is called "The Charmer". He wants the center of attention so Xayah can eliminate the unsuspecting. He's the distraction for Xayah. He's show off-y lines and voice helps create that attention.

When trying to find voice actors for their characters, they study what kind of character it is and their personality, and I think Riot delivered it. After listening it a few times, you'll learn to love it and live with it.

Edit: Anime cliches?????? Do you really think Riot will spend time studying anime cliches for a champion? If it's a skin then totally (See: Star Guardians skins), but for a champion? I don't know what you're thinking about

Also, this just in! Anime invented the concept of harpies and phoenixes! Nevermind thousands of years of myths and folklore across multiple countries and cultures.

Granted, their art style is pretty Anime to me. But most Ionian characters are. If Yasuo was a character from a more western-based Region, his hair probably wouldn't look like that :P

Not that I think that is a problem. LoL is a big game with many characters catering to many, different groups of people. Ionian characters just tend to cater to that part of the community :P

Only a select few. Many get play however they can. Monogamy is very exceptional in Nature. If you aren't sure, then it probably isn't monogamous is the rule to follow.

Someone sounds spiteful. Rakan at least is pretty bird-like in design, if you look closely you can probably see it (surprised you didn't before, but you probably didn't want to.)

I know we dont have tons of pics of them and all, but they have bird feet, bird skulls as accessories, make a few bird references (Rakans "CAW CAW" line is one i cant think of off the top of my head), have feathers on their person (both growing from their skin and to adorn their clothing) as well as use them as weapons. Please explain to me exactly how they arent based on birds? And im going to need some actual comparisons to what you think theyre based on so i can see where youre coming from.

They're Vastaya, which is a type of chimera (mix of different creatures), those two being a mix of birds and people.

They're close enough to birds to base their characters off of them.

Also, his first voicelines in the SkinSpotlights video are all his "Attack" lines, as he gets calmer later in the video. I personally LOVE his voice, as well as Xayah's!
