AZIR REWORK?

Dont get me wrong, i like Azir, i like his concept, art and he's preety fun to play, but he is having one of the worst kits i have ever seen, based on what he should be. Right now, Azir is kinda like a poke semi-mobile control teamfight destroyer mage... i mean... why? And all this is due to his E and ult. I think Azir needs some changes, so he would be a control mage or a poke mage. I think the best choice of a rework on him is making him a control mage because it fits him, i dunno. Having soliders that do what you want screams "control" lol. So i've come with the idea of a conceptual rework, of how i see him and i would like him to be.

Passive - The current passive is well-made both thematically and gameplay-wise, nothing to change: Q - It's alright, I'd say a higher Cooldown, so soldier placement is more important, besides making his laning phase less punishing for the enemies W - Lower cooldown (much lower) so u can put like 5 soliders at the time and all of them can resist for at least 3-4 seconds, and, of course, damage lowered. Damaged per secondary soldier increased. **E **- HERE IS THE POINT OF THIS DISCUSSION. This ability needs a complete rework. It is just a tool, of which Azir is dependent of is a pretty stupid way, that is just ruining his gameplay and concept of what should be his role in a team. It just screams "IM A BETTER LEE SIN" LOL.

So, there is my new concept: Azir groups all the soldiers on the battlefield near him. He can (somehow) choose between two ways of grouping them: in a line in front of him (all soldiers facing in the same direction as Azir at the time he cast the spell) or in a circle around him. http://imgur.com/9ANeUWT http://imgur.com/OWe7vKr This will be a great tool when close combat or a lee gank. Now this would make him a mage that totally lacks movement. Cooldown: 19/16/13/10/7 seconds Mana: 40-60 NOTE: If there are less than 3 soldiers on the battlefiels, Azir will simply bring them in front of him, aligned in line. YET ANOTHER NOTE: I don't know how would riot make this ability work, i mean it can be a kind of toggle? Well i don't know, this E rework is just an idea. "it could simply be like warwick's Q. Tap it to form a line, hold it for like 1 second and it auto casts to a circle formation." (comment from Booleans NA) - THAT'S IT, perfect R - REWORK Now that he has this conceptual new E, his ult would look like this: Every solider on the battlefield will instantly push their shield in their front, dealing damage and knock-backing the enemies. It can be cast while the solidets are moved during q or e, so the knockback will be longer. The soliders will remain with their shields blocking enemies from walking through or dashing through them for 2 seconds, time in whitch Azir can't use them. This is just a simple ability, but it can be used in a lot of impactful ways. First case: you are mid, farming, then suddenly Lee Sin Q you from the bush and he's dashing towards you. To counter him fast and efficient you just E (soliders circle around you) and Ult. Easy. Second case: You are getting chased by 2-3 enemies and there are 2 walls that can be closed. You just E (line) and then Ult. Easy Third case (burst): You see a Xerath with lower than half HP. You Q towards him with all the soliders, attack him to force soliders towards him and then BANG, the Ult. And there you go, they will probably die as every solider would have its OWN damage on ult.

Forth case (for pros): you see 2 enemies and you just put your turret from passive. They are close to it. You just move your soldiers behind them using Q, then E, and while the soliders are dashing towards you, you ult. This would knock the enemies into the tower and, at the same time, you are even protected by E. And here comes the double kill, simply because they underestimated your zoning power.

I actually really like the new idea for the E and ult interaction at least in concept because i'm not to sure about some of the details just yet but it is definitely very interesting. Only issue i find myself thinking about is Azir's safety even though his a control mage i feel like if he has no way of staying away can be a problem. Champs like Ziggs and Orianna have abilities that allow them to get/stay away from enemies no matter how small the impact it its a tool that allows them to survive longer if possible. Azir in this case only has his ult which as soon as he uses it he becomes vulnerable for a ult time cooldown unlike Ziggs s W which would be up again seconds afterwards. In my opinion perhaps the Q will have a better/stronger slow? maybe a strong slow if the soldier's are heading towards azir and a weaker slow if the soldiers Q away from azir?

Ether way really good ideas i love it and i think it opened a whole new way approaching azir's kit.

Nice ideas. I agree that Azir's current E should probably be the skill to go, as him being a soldier-controlling general is more appropriate to his theme than the "Shurima Shuffle". I also like the ult idea; it retains the feel of his current one but make its more versatile and skillful.

I like the idea. As for making the E Work, it could simply be like warwick's Q. Tap it to form a line, hold it for like 1 second and it auto casts to a circle formation.

Seems like a solid design. I have no problems with it and think it would be a good rework. I really like how it makes him feel like a general commanding his soldiers. +1 from me [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Is he intended to have high damage and low DPS or lower damage and high DPS?

I like the rework, want to keep him as AP DPS champion though.
