Trundle Rework

just been thinking since people are up in arms about trundle getting a skin and some slight buffs ( they cry its conspiracy to sale skins ) that well maybe trundle needs a rework of sorts.

here is an idea, have no idea how viable but what the hell

Trundle passive : he still heals from enemies units dying but for every champ he kills or asst in killing he collects a troll tax that scales his ULT

Q. make it where he uses an empowered auto with his club smacking his enemy on the hit stunning them and reducing their armor W. pretty much the same with a special passive while in river, it freezes the area in the river causing his allies more MS while in the AOE E . pretty much the same where he can use it to climb the pillar to scale terrain /walls R. He Bites an enemy stealing their stats as normal but it scales on his passive of troll tax from kills/asst

An on demand stun every 4 seconds might be kind of busted and would further push him into the support role. He just needs QoL changes honestly, mainly to keep up with how high damage is now, as he otherwise still has a decent kit.

Here's what I would do:

Chomp (Q) - Now has no cost, and the AD steal is changed to %based adaptive damage. For Trundle it becomes a damage amp. The slow stays the same.

[Most champs that run top lane and jungle these days barely have to manage resources anymore, if at all, and none of them have real mana costs anymore. Therefore, removing the mana cost from Trundle's bread and butter skill would make him a lot smoother to play. This would help him more in the top lane than any other role.]

[Alternatively, the flat AD steal could be changed out with %bonus AD, which would help counter AD damage stacking champions mid-late game, while still not hurting Riot's precious mages.]

Subjugate (R) - Steals the 40% resists immediately instead of gradually over 4 seconds. The amount stolen after the duration still remains the same.

[This would make his ult more in line with how fast everyone does damage now, as he currently has issues where he ults targets and still gets bursted down before all the resistances can even be stolen. With how high damage is these days, there is literally no reason for this weakness to exist anymore.]

I've gone a little more in depth on changing his kit up to a more adaptive rework. With the Fiddlesticks and Volibear reworks making their way to the rift, it got me excited for the next pole to be taken. I'm offering my early input for Trundle to be Reworked. I've always loved playing him from years ago but with how the meta has changed, tweaks made to his kit, I don't enjoy playing at all where I've stopped playing him. To relate, Volibear was a champion considered so simple and one dimensional. He had a lack luster kit, tried to run at you and hopes he catches you and tried to kill you if you're foolish to stay in his domain. You can take those same characteristics and put Trundle in front of them and it's the same. Looking into Trundle's lore, it describes him as a hulking, regen monster, with devious and mischievous skills. He either tried to outsmart you or beat you. But he also wields a magical weapon that never melts and gives off an "aura" of cold. How he got such a weapon though was from stealing it. Trundle also has this characteristic to challenge those around him 1 on 1.

An interesting mechanic I would love to see is his 'w' be replaced with a point click challenge feature, where target allows trundle to gain movement speed and attack speed while within certain range of and moving towards target. While the target is challenged, you need to get 3 auto attacks off where True Ice is then applied to the targets body and a chunk of damage is applied. With this proc, the attack speed persists for a few more seconds. The chuck the target lost is then regen to trundle over time.

To make this work, his passive will have to be changed to something that reacts to True Ice applying or proc.

Just like in the lore when Trundle returned with the magical weapon, he caved in the chieftain’s face. His q ability could resemble that where he slams down his club, the area left behind slows enemies.

His e would change to him hurting himself but gaining bonus armor, magic resist, and movement to regen health lost over 10 seconds.

Ultimate would apply an area of affect slow around the target, it wouldn't slow the target. If the target gets a certain distance away, or 10 seconds go by, the ring implodes dealing damage and creates a terrain of ice slowing all enemies. Trundle would steal the targets HP only.
