tbh the tank meta was the healthiest meta there was, considering the fact that every "meta" had something toxic to deal with. the tank one was the least toxic among them all.

what changes has made it a tank meta? hmm? tanks didnt get more damage. no tank got any big buffs. conqueror and true damage still exist. resolve tree laning phase is shit. you get no significant hp or armor/mr from it til at least 10 mins of game.

I mean you still have conqueror unlike before where it didn’t exist. You have hyper scaling mages like anivia who are basically tank shredders. I wouldn’t be surprised if people started loosing to tanks when they didn’t pick a conqueror user. On the other hand if we bounce back to the midlane it can be the end of the shove roam and shove meta. Where as even Azir might comeback since he’s one of the few tank shredding mages. Tbh tanks aren’t that strong, this time they have resistances and not over cooked damage. Of course if you just go flat 1v1 a Maokai you will loose cus he is probably the most strongest tank, with his cc and healing in fights.

as a maokai OTP for 3 seasons maokai isnt the strongest tank. believe or not the bruiser/juggernauts which are meta flat out beat him in most cases. and in other cases the other top laners/ fighters scale.

so he isnt as dominate in lane or early. and then gets out scaled. is he still usefull? sure but with a 51% win rate less then 2% pick rate and near 0% ban rate i doubt he is even top 15 top laner and really bad in jungle
