##Lore

RED is a happy-go-lucky humanoid wolf-like Vastaya, and one of the many test subjects of a Vastaya-obsessed chem-baron. The chem-baron, determined to raise a personal army of Vastayan super-soldiers, mercilessly conducted dozens of inhumane experiments on the captured Vastaya every single day, with seemingly no end. Eventually, RED’s mind snapped, leading her to gun down her friends, and become the chem-baron’s personal bodyguard.

##"Insanity? No no no, this is hope!"

The chem-baron named Orion had everything in the grimy streets of zaun, from wealth, to status, and yet he felt empty inside, as if something was lacking from his life, until one dark, starless night, during a fateful encounter during a secret business trip in Ionia. In seemingly an instant, Orion’s entire worldview changed. He began to saw beauty in absolutely everything, from the beautiful flowers of Ionia, to the smog-ridden, trash-filled dumps of Zaun.

However, this obsession of beauty quickly turned to madness, and Orion returned for a second trip to Ionia, but with the intention of capturing the very creatures that helped to install the obsession of beauty into his mind; the Vastaya. Leading an army of chemtech-infused mercenaries and over the span of several months, Orion destroyed all Ionians blocking their way, and raided various Vastayan camps and villages, slaughtering those that fought back, and capturing the children to bring back to Zaun to raise as his personal army, one of the children being a small, humanoid wolf-like girl named Remilia Elisyia Dulcitudo.

As soon as the Vastayan children were brought into Zaun, many immediately became sick, and began dying to diseases native to the atmosphere of Zaun, as they could not adapt to the harshness of Zaun’s climate. In retaliation, Orion hooked many of them with hextech and chemtech augments, which the Vastayan children’s bodies also naturally rejected, leading to more and more experiments done on their minds and bodies, to suit them for the life of a mindless super-soldier.

Much to Orion’s dismay, was Remilia, doing her best to prevent the mindbreak of all of her fellow Vastaya. Always cheerful and energetic, Remilia helped to lift the spirits of her fellow captive Vastaya as they faced the many day-to-day experiments they were forced through, constantly keeping on a smiling face. With her unwavering optimism, the other Vastaya saw Remilia as a source of comfort and hope, hope that one day, everything will change for the better.

A year after their capture, a brutal experiment was conducted on Remilia, leaving her entire body covered in glistening, crimson blood. As all the Vastaya stared at RED, she laughed, and continued laughing for a minute straight. With an eerie smile, she exclaimed her usual spurs of optimism. However, rather than underlying tones of hope, it was insanity. On that day, the Vastayans realized that a part of RED was killed, spurring on her fellow Vastaya to instead give her the name of “RED”, in part due to her bloody visage, in part to her naturally red eyes, and also as an abbreviation of her full name.

From that day on, RED’s banters of cheerful optimism instead became short rants fueled by insanity. Her cheerful disposition instead took a twisted turn, as she instead hoped for all the Vastaya to stay together, forever, as what her now-twisted mind would describe as being “friends”. The other prisoners began staying away from RED, realizing that her mind had finally broken.

As time passed, the experiments only grew more horrifying and violent. On another dark, starless night, all of the other captive Vastayans finally plotted an escape. They shared their secrets among eachother, being extra careful not to be caught by Orion and his lackeys. It was also on this night that Orion’s first “experiment” was finally complete, as he had finally brainwasshed RED into his own frame of mind. As the prisoners attempted to flee, they defeated the many guards that blocked their path, and nearly reached the exit of the long corridors of the complex, until they encountered RED, standing by the entrance, with two large submachine guns pointed at the crowd.

A click was heard, and the hallway became painted in red.

Now as the chem-baron Orion’s personal bodyguard, RED guns down everyone that dares stand towards Orion’s goals. On every starless night, RED can only wish that she had spent more time with her “friends”.

#Abilities

⁣ ##Passive - Bullet Hell

RED’s double SMGs carry three second’s worth of ammo combined, and replace her basic attacks to fire an extremely fast, constant stream of many weaker bullets at targets.

After she uses up all her ammo, or after not firing for a few seconds, RED reloads for a few seconds.

RED’s reload speed and total ammo count are both increased with attack speed, rather than her firing speed.

  • RED’s SMGs fire at around 10.0 attack speed.
  • Basic attacks apply on-hit effects at regular attack speed.
  • Damage deflection from Thornmail items is only around 7% as effective against RED. ⁣

##Q - The Elusive Little RED

RED gains a small amount of bonus movement speed and becomes ghosted for 4 - 9 seconds.

During this time, she automatically continues auto attacking the last enemy she damaged with her basic attacks, or the most recent first enemy damaged with [W] Flick. RED will continue firing at the target while she is moving.

If RED or her target moves out of range of her basic attacks during this time, or if RED's target is killed, she will not automatically find a new target to attack, but can begin attack the first, most recently damaged enemy using [W] Flick.

The ability can be re-activated to end the effect early. ⁣

##W - Flick

Range: 600

RED infuses her scarf with Vastayan magic and flicks it in a target direction, dealing physical damage to the first 3 enemies struck and knocking them back a tiny distance.

Enemies hit near the tip of the ability won’t be displaced, but will instead be slowed by a small amount. ⁣

##E - Catch me if you can

RED tosses a magazine to a target location, and gains bonus movement speed while moving towards the location.

If she is at the magazine’s landing location when it lands, she catches it, instantly reloading [P] Bullet Hell, and empowering her basic attacks to deal bonus damage for the next second. ⁣

##R - Howling Bullets

Range: 725

RED fires one shot at each nearby enemy unit over the span of 2 - 1.5 seconds based on rank, dealing physical damage based off their missing health.

RED will begin firing at the closest enemies to her at the start of the ability’s cast, continuing outwards.

Moving during the ability cast will cancel the ability early. ⁣

#Playing As RED

Unlike other Marksmen, RED isn't as good as kiting backwards, as enemies can easily get out of range of her [Q] The Elusive Little RED, and her [E] Catch me if you can is very predictable. Additionally, her passive, bullet hell, causes her to fire at attack speeds faster than what anyone can kite with, requiring her to stay in one place to continuously attack enemies, unless [Q] is up. However, RED excels against locked-down enemies, as she can easily fire off a full clip of [P] Bullet Hell without the use of [Q]. As such, she synnergizes well with supports that can provide a lot of crowd control and lockdown on enemies. ⁣

⁣ ##Core Items:

item 3031 - Because so many shots are fired, Critical Strike acts more as a damage amplifier.

item 3087 - Helps make up for RED's lack of waveclear.

item 3071 - Doesn't really give RED a whole lot of useful stats compared to other items, but she can pretty much instantly proc Black Cleaver's shred effect. ⁣

#Changelist:

  • Probably won't be anything, honestly.

Bullet Hell

Her passive makes her early game cancer because of the long reload time between each basic attack. You could try shortening the reload time, because losing minions while reloading is a bad thing to happen in the laning phase.

Q - The Elusive Little RED Her Q is like an Urgot W with added complexity. What does she shoot at when there comes a target you didn't hit with your W? Does it attack the nearest target? Off the complexity, I think giving movement speed and ghost for 4-9 seconds while auto-attacking an enemy is a scary thought and makes her extremely efficient in kiting. Add some numbers, it makes reviewing easier, and maybe make the tooltip simpler.

W - Flick Giving hard crowd control on a marksman is really strong. Even if it's a really small knockback it makes her really good at kiting. Otherwise it's hard to fully analyze this ability because only numbers you gave was the range which is pretty big.

Actually this could be made into a shorter ranged spell that damages and slows enemies and stuns/knocks back enemies in melee range.

E - Catch me if you can

I like this ability.

R - Howling Bullets

Numbers pls. It's hard to make a decent critique when it has no numbers.

Gameplay

RED's kit makes her better at running into melee range because of her Q and her W. She also looks like a marksman that wants to go in the center of the teamfight because her Q, W and R work best while near the enemies. Her E embraces running into the team to cast her ultimate, which isn't a bad thing.

If you don't want her to play like that, change her ultimate. Not that the ultimate is bad but it encourages her to move to a dangerous position for an ADC.

Love the lore, a great backstory is key to a characters ability to be liked and helps imprint there playstyle into your mind: Hope you don't mind but I'd like to comment on something's that would point out some new points. 1: Passive:

Love the passive, this idea always comes to my mind when I think of a stream based ADC where auto attacking is all click and poke.

Attack speed: so u said attack speed 10.0 I like that idea but may need to have an adjustment, maybe a scaling high attack speed base would be better. For example: 4/7/9/10/12 at levels 1/3/5/7/9

As on hit affects still proc an empower ability like if she were to unload a full clip onto a champ its reload time is reduced otherwise tanks would destroy her before she could do anything.

2: Q – The elusive red:

A kiting and catching ability great, like the idea of the little red riding hood theme as it warwick makes me think of the big-bad wolf. Friend or foe you chose. Feels like a urgot w, if that right like it’s like an auto trace ability.

ADC need versatility and wave clear even Vayne as wave clear which is best demonstrated by her static tumble auto attack which make lane clear easy.

Q bonus movement speed and maybe increased ad % scale over a short time, just needs something that can mow down minions etc. Maybe cause the q to have increased attack damage against minions or champions below 30% health but that’s the idea that I think is important with an ADC especially pairing it with your ult. (ap/ad scaling?) could work with item 3116

3: W- Flick

My biggest problem is it effectiveness in kiting and engaging even if u hit the slow the distance would still be a problem to cover. Especially since its range is bigger than your auto range, would having it have a small range maybe 500 make it better for engage and kiting with it knockback as you wouldn’t want a melee champ that close. (ap/ad) item 3285

R: ULT – Howling Bullets:

Love the Ult , it’s like a master Yi Q where It hits each champion but not needing to dive into the action, has great versatility when coming into a team fight late or finishing off a team-fight. The premade weakness of being a squishy ADC makes the missing health damage way more viable. Nothing In the Ult needs to change. (Ap scaling / ad scaling could make it work with item 3165

Final words: Love to see some scaling ideas: like ap ad ratios friends and foes: An some general concept art of her look Ap/ ad mix match adc would be cool

KEEP IT UP I LOVE THE IDEA

“Gunning down her friends” Riot can’t allow that for their game Backstory says something about experimenting in an inhumane way with children,Riot can’t allow this either.

Copied from the Vastaya info page:

With very strong animalistic features. They closely resemble upward walking mammals which have largely animalstic features in their bodies design and behavior.

With mild animalistic features. They closely resemble humans, but still retain a modest level of animalistic elements, most notable feline ears, or feathers. The facial characteristics are closer to human appearance than animalistic.

Shapeshifters. They either retain either a human or animal appearance of their choosing, but they are able to shapeshift in and out of each form.

Your character doesn’t fit any of these roles, she just seems like a furry figure for no good reason.

“vastayan magic into her scarf” ,Vastayan magic does not work that way,at all It feels like you don’t even know the first thing about them.

Just a few things: I know the idea sounds good, but Rito already tested that kind of thing for Jinx with her minigun, and decided it sucks. Also, 1 build option might exist that is a little OP that no one seems to have mentioned.... on hit. Seriously, with a wits end, that's 400 magic damage JUST from the on hit. In one second. Honestly, add a guinsoos and runaans, and you can melt an entire team in a few seconds. In my eyes, it seems a bit like Kog'maw, but deals more damage early, more damage late, and more burst/shred, at the cost of a small bit of safety.
