Tor was a famous and highly acclaimed inventor in Piltover. However, as time passed, and with no new inventions to his name besides his first, he struggled to chase his former legacy, until one day, he was chased out of Piltover after an accident involving his newest invention-- two hextech gauntlets that could harness the powers of fire and ice. Fleeing to Zaun, armed with his new gadget and revenge for those he believed to have wronged him, Tor seeks vengeance on Piltover, wishing to destroy the other inventors who criticized him, and all those that would dare mock him.

##"Don't you DARE look down on me, bastard!"

Formerly a struggling owner of a small hextech firm in Piltover with bright ambitions, he often spent days on end coming up with brand new gadgets, or thinking up the next big invention. Tor was one day hired for some robotics related to a railroad expansion project in Ionia, and was invited for a survey of the location. However, on an on-site survey, he witnessed a massacre of a small Ionian village, who refused to bend to the railroad investor’s demands.

However, one of the villagers--a powerful warrior--put up a valiant front against the investor’s hired mercenaries. While he eventually did fall in combat, Tor was mesmerized by the warrior’s strength and technique. In secret, Tor took the warrior’s brain, and quit the railroad job in pursuit of a new goal. Tor became the inventor of a critically-acclaimed, award-winning security robot in Piltover, which was fuelled by the fallen warrior’s brain. He poured his life and soul developing the machine until the day of its public unveiling, where it was revealed to much acclaim.

After selling his new invention to Piltover officials, Tor had finally acquired everything he desired in life-he won many awards for his invention, married to a beautiful wife, he earned much profit from the sale of the invention, and as such, Tor had quickly amassed a large fortune. Tor was quickly excited at all the prospects of fame and fortune. In that moment, he felt superior--more powerful and accomplished than those that were in his original position. He felt that he was now finally had more worth than that of a regular human, he had done something amazing. He had become someone amazing. He could live a relaxed life, away from hard work, and having to worry about debt and other trite manners.

However, not soon after, Tor’s newfound fame and fortune got to his mind. He began to attend the most luxurious parties, spend days on end gambling, and blew much money on prostitutes, as that was the sort of life Tor deemed fit for a person of his newfound status. He no longer cared about any of his inventions any more: To Tor, they were now simply tools to earn more money, and as Tor thought he already had plenty, he stopped developing his gadgets. Tor’s new wife also contributed the massive losses of money, through massive shopping sprees, often spanning throughout the entire day. However, as his self-indulgent lifestyle continued, his accumulated fame and fortune began to dwindle, and Tor realized that he simply could not return to his old lifestyle. Tor’s wife often nagged at him to make more money, and Tor decided that he needed a new breakthrough, and fast, to restore his stocks of cash, which had been quickly drained by his newfound lifestyle.

When Tor unveiled his next invention to the public- a hextech-powered wrist-mounted kitchen appliance that could quickly heat up and freeze food- he was only met with criticism, as other inventors and the people of the public criticized it as being impractical, costly and a useless novelty. Desperately wishing to cling on to his former legacy, he spend night after night attempting to upgrade the device multiple times, each time unveiling as a new “scientific breakthrough”. Soon, other inventors, journalists and the public quickly caught on to his plans, thus shunning him from the field of hextech science. With no money, and his fame practically non-existent Tor made one last desperate attempt to retool his new invention. He thought back to his first invention, back to the massacre he witnessed in Ionia, and thought of a perfect way to use his new invention: as a weapon.

However, disaster struck one night. As he spend the night tirelessly working away and struggling to upgrade his device, a magic component in the device had gone awry, and he accidently caused the gauntlets to permanently fuse with his own hands. Out of frustration and rage, Tor burned down his own house, including his wife who remained trapped inside.

Tor had quickly fled the scene of the crime, and it wasn’t long before the authorities began to search for him. Soon, Tor had fled to Zaun, as a man who had nothing left. He spent his days on the streets, using his last invention as a weapon to help him commit crimes and robberies. However, Tor’s mind continued to remember that night, full of rage and frustration. Tor blamed the people of piltover for not recognizing his latent genius and talent. He decided that it was everyone else’s fault that he went on to live the lifestyle that he did, and that the criticisms he received were nothing more than mockery. He believed all other inventors to be inferior to him, that the masses were fools for thinking otherwise. Tor believed that no matter what it took, all the elite inventors of piltover must be brought down, so that Tor could rise up once more.
