Suggestion: Rotating Queue of Temporary Game Modes

I've seen at least two suggestions (by Jeddy017 and Doubleoughtspy) for this idea, but to my knowledge, there are no posts that are exclusively dedicated to this topic. I think it's a good enough idea that it deserves a thread of its own where it can be discussed without being overshadowed by the parent topic.

The idea is that Riot adds a queue to League of Legends that features each of the temporary game modes in a rotation format. Specifically, every two to four weeks, one of the temporary game modes becomes available to play, including the soon-to-be-disabled Dominion, and the previously available one is disabled. A play period of two or three weeks would be short enough that the game modes don't develop too strict of a metagame, and the fact that any given game mode would only be available once every few months means that by the time the mode got around to being available again, League would be different enough (through new champions, new items, balance changes, fads, etc.) that players will have to develop new strategies, thereby preventing long-term stagnation (i.e. an oppressive metagame developing over multiple play periods).

The only attention these game modes would require is if champions or items were added or modified that had largely map-specific features (such as Azir's and Skarner's passives). That being said, a little bit of maintenance and quality-of-life changes would be appreciated, of course (comparable to the healing effects re-balancing on the Howling Abyss). The final sub-suggestion is to give Dominion a double share (either twice as many periods of availability or just double the duration of each availability period) out of respect to both its highly dedicated player base and its significance to League of Legends culture at large.

Once again, to whoever originally came up with this idea, thank you for the excellent suggestion. I think this would be a good compromise that balances Riot's business interests with the interests of the less competitive segment of the playerbase.
