Legends of Runeterra: Elite units

Does anybody else find it somewhat unintuitive which Demacian units in Legends of Runeterra are considered "Elite"? Silverwing Vanguard (a 2-1 bird) is, but Swiftwing Lancer (a 5-4 armored soldier riding a bird) isn't. Cithria of Cloudfield (a 2-2 new recruit) is, but Tianna Crownguard isn't. In addition, there are plenty of cards that could plausibly go either way (e.g. Brightsteel Protector, Radiant Guardian).

After looking at the wiki page* for a few minutes, it appears that having "Vanguard" in the name is a sufficient condition for being an elite unit, but not a necessary condition. I would appreciate if they tidied this up, preferably by removing Elite status from cards that don't have "Vanguard" in their name, such as the Cithria cards and Garen.

All of the other categories of cards (e.g. Poros, Spiders) are know-it-when-you-see-it, and this category should be the same way.

P.S. If anybody knows where I should post this instead of here, please let me know.

that clare cloudfield card doesnt deserve elite status imo theres nothing elite about her. shes technically a recruit.

two and a half paragraphs of complaining about a classification... this has some odd emotional thing for you when it comes to that word. Why care so much about how Riot classifies the card in their own game? just play the game
