(Champ Concept) Eliza the Shrine Priestess

Support Position·9/12/2017, 5:39:03 AM·2 votes·618 views

(I don't necessarily have lore for this champion or numbers since I would probably make her too op however I figured I should post something that would be a fun idea for a support champion)

Eliza would be an original shrine priestess with a Khakkhara having miko clothing.

Passive - Rest for the Dead

Every kill and assist grants you 1 stack. Each stack grants you Armour, Magic Resistance and Tenacity (obviously would be small % like 0.50)

Q - Healing Soul

This ability would be something like Morgan's Q in terms of the hitbox and how thick it would be.

As this ability goes spawns a shikigami that goes through your allies and enemies. Your allies would be given healing overtime. Almost like a bleed effect although opposite.

If this ability passes through an enemy they are inflicted with a bleed. If this ability only hits 1 enemy, no allies. This bleed will turn into true damage instead (minions would count as an enemy)

W - Ring's Chatter

This ability would be a point and click making a chime sound of a Khakkhara as it gets hit on the ground. Surrounding 1 ally with a shield with a glowing particle effect in the middle on all 4 sides of the champion casted on (Think of Braums E although with a very beautiful japanese or chinese symbols in the middle of it). This ability would block 1 auto attack or any ability deflecting it back at the caster (An auto attack crit would crit the ADC instead. Obviously probably not for full damage. Maybe 50% all CC would also be deflected. However it would be halved towards the enemy caster.)

E - Calming Wind

This ability immedietly cleanses any form of CC (Can cast on self. Although not while: Stunned, Silenced, Feared basically anything not allowing you to have ability to use abilities. Roots you would be able too for instance or slows.) and gives the champion it was casted on immunity to ALL CC for 1 second (ONLY if it cleanses CC). If the target gets CC'd while immune for the 1 second duration that unit gets a burst of health and mana back from your own health and mana. (Something like 5%-25% or so.) this ability can only drop Eliza to 5% of her total HP.

R - Caring Protector

This ability would be global. Doing healing overtime to TOWERS, Champions and giving Health regen to minions in combat as well as giving your allies small amounts of Armour and Magical resistances.

(180-110 second cooldown)

I think she would be a fun addition to League with a lot of utility for her team to keep them alive and healthy. (People have been asking for a support that their KITS are the GOOD things. Supports should NOT be items. We should be champions with cool abilities that actually impact the game highly.)

I like most of your ideas and dislike a few of your ideas. What I do like is the Shikigami but instead of a directional skill shot (From what I gather is emitted from you) I would instead have it be like Soraka heal which is just casted on an ally and the Shikigami spawns from your ally or yourself and seeks out an enemy.(acting like original Yorick ghoul.) At this point it'll act like Nami heal making the Shikigami return to the nearest ally if it damages an enemy.healing again but at a greater amount.

AS for the shield instead of point and click I would have it as an aoe ability with the range of maybe Sona passive shielding all allies and granting the same amount of tenacity she does. The more allies she shields the more it shields for.Amplifying her passives worth and giving it more meaning.

As for the passive I'd change it to a flat amount (increased by level) instead of a stack. Making them stacks would put a lot of focus on killing the enemy team which is good but %50 of anyone playing her would almost always over commit to fights and end up feeding just to get 1 stack.

Her built in item 3140 sounds great I would maybe only add that it also grants attack speed and move speed just to amp up how annoying it would be.

Rito would not stand for anything that granted tower regen as it would extend game time. I change it's name to Purify/Seal. Keeping in line with Priestess background. Upon activation roots herself and silences all enemies in a cone in front of her and emits Shikigami kinda like MissFortune ultimate. Enemies caught in the blast are damaged, wrapped in Shikigami and are rooted. think Spirited away where they are chasing the dragon http://fanaru.com/spirited-away/image/199493-spirited-away-haku.gif

Didn't mean to gut your champion but those would be my ideas to not only make her stronger but meaningful in the meta. Tell me what you think about my creations I'd like to hear what you have to say. https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/uT5tQpgK-concept-the-suns-lament https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/vvdEbgE5-concept-deja-ravager-of-memories

Having just posted my own Shrine Maiden-esque champion (as anyone from the discord can tell you, it's been in the works for a couple of weeks, so it was more of a convergent idea :P ), I feel like I'm more or less obliged to review this.

First Impressions

Kit seems to have problems with cohesion. It feels like the champion is missing certain tools for functioning in an actual game.

Passive - Rest for the Dead

This seems really out of place with the rest of her kit. You have a pretty definitively backline support who's encouraged to be very passive (especially since the only self-heal she has is if she cleanses herself of a soft CC, then the opponent hits her with another CC), but she's rewarded for getting kills and assists with bonus defenses.

Q - Healing Soul

Skillshot healing is always a bit of a weird thing, but I'd be being hypocritical to mark you down, so to speak :P (plus, Ezreal already used to have something similar). That said, this ability feels a little odd, since it's fighting against itself, it seems. Theoretically, the best use case, just by how the ability works, should be firing the heal through your ally and hitting an enemy as well, but then you have the true damage bleed which wants it to be fired like a single target skillshot, plus the fact that it's a heal over time (so it's noticeably worse in actual combat rather than sustain).

W - Ring's Chatter

I like the ability conceptually as something of an inverse Fiora ultimate. The specifics of reflecting the damage, on the other hand, especially with the CC reflect, less so. This has the potential to be super frustrating for either side, especially since Eliza appears to be a hard support, and thus she's in the lane that can most easily just pop the shield with an AA. Honestly, I think this would probably be better as just a segmented normal shield where each side can block up to X damage.

E - Calming Wind

While Mikael's is a good item, putting the CC removal effect on an ability isn't quite as useful, since it's so situational. There's plenty of match ups where this will be barely useful (and many more where the second part may as well not be there, since many lanes only have ~a single instance of hard crowd control). The fact that you only get the full reward if your opponent makes an error is also a bit iffy.

R - Caring Protector

This is an ability that is probably ridiculously strong, but feels bad to use in game, since so much of its effect is aimed towards pushing/defending other lanes. The tower regen bit becomes noticeably less useful at higher levels of play, where most towers go from full health to nothing in a single go. Considering it's also got quite a bit of overlap with Soraka's Wish conceptually, I would consider finding a different ability, to be honest.

Overall

Eliza's basic abilities all have a bunch of interesting things to their core concepts that can easily be built on to make an interesting champion design, but it feels like there's a lot of stuff tacked onto each one that detracts from the interesting idea. With a laning phase that's likely quite poor without overtuned numbers, and no proactive tools, Eliza feels like a champion that is more or less going to always be hoping that the opponent makes an error, whether that's taking a bad fight or choosing not to fight at all. This is compounded with how punishing her kit is (with two abilities. her W and E, that have much of their usefulness tied into the enemy not knowing what they do and/or making a mistake).
