Why don't we see more game types based on number of kills?

As title says. Nothing wrong with having the nexus as a game objective, but is there a particular reason - a different set of balance issues perhaps - that makes it problematic to develop game types based on total number of team kills? This could be first team to reach a certain threshold, or most kills within a certain time span.

(I've only been into League for just over a year, so I may be unaware of past game modes that included this.)

because that isnt what league is about... and playing to that style is what is ruining the essence of the game

A game mode based on kills would not be very strategic. Everyone would just draft high damage champions and camp a bush waiting for someone to walk by. There needs to be objectives in order to encourage conflict and force people to make difficult decisions. Maybe if they made a completely different map that was an arena style they could have a deathmatch mode but I don't see how that would be particular fun or unique.

Because league is team based and just going for kills is WAAAY boring most of the time. The singularity is barely 15 minute games at most..... And it isnt so much about killing, rather its more of flag football.

Its not about killing because you can not bring the enemy health to 0 :p

there are a few modes based on kill but they need some objectives to focus movement and encourage conflict. think ascension, blood moon and dominion in a way.
