Recipe: Tier 2 jungle item + Bramble Vest + Ruby Crystal + 225 Gold

50 Armor 200 HP

UNIQUE - Thorns: Upon being hit by a basic attack, reflects 25 magic damage and applies a mark that lasts 3 seconds.

UNIQUE - Poison Thorns: Attacking an enemy marked with Thorns consumes the mark to deal damage equal to 4% of their maximum HP (+0.2% per level) (+1% per 500 bonus HP) over 3 seconds and apply Grievous Wounds. An enemy afflicted by Poison Thorns cannot be marked by Thorns until 8 seconds after Poison Thorns ends on that target.

UNIQUE - Poison Aura - Enemies within 200 range take double damage from Poison Thorns and refresh its duration.

—————

Enchantment - Nightshade is meant to exist either as a replacement to Cinderhulk or alongside a reworked Cinderhulk catered to jungle bruisers. It will help tanks clear the jungle faster and offer more to early ganks, as well as more useful early stats. Its damage scales harder than Cinderhulk, but its defenses do not. The ignite-on-auto mechanic coupled with a range limitation encourages champions who are very sticky and/or have high lockdown to take this item. The range limitation also serves to enhance the item’s jungle clear without the artificial enhancements of Cinderhulk.

Nightshade stacks with Thornmail only for adding Grievous Wounds and armor scaling to the Thorns passive. Note that Nightshade by itself does not apply Grievous Wounds until the mark is ignited.

One other intent with this item is to not scale so hard with just a Titanic Hydra and/or Triforce, compared to Cinderhulk.

Sounds a bit...no-counterplay in some situations.

What does an ADC do when a Xin Zhao runs at them? Or, hell, what does any auto attacker do then? You just lose so much health due to you two slapping each other.

It'd become too much of a must-buy in a lot of matchups, and only serves to buff a class that is doing more than fine right now.

I would like to try that stuff on Rammus.

At level 18, with 2k bonus HP, this item would deal 11.4% of the target's max health over 3s, no more than every 11s. It's more damage than a liandry without slow (11% over 11s) but less than a liandry + slow (22% over 11s). Maybe its damage is a bit on the low spectrum to my taste.

I really like this idea, it's really unique thematically and gameplay wise however I feel like it might be a bit too strong damage wise on someone who stacks a lot of health (Mundo, Cho'Gath).
