Shen Needs [A] Merch | Supported Links / Causes & Explanation
Here are just some links, last few of them being mine. They are posts about users pushing for a Shen merch .. at least 1 Merch. Again I say this, I love this champion so much, and I hold him dear to my heart. Just like this Champion, there are champions like Anivia, or Urgot that exist as well. However, I am a Shenatigants type of guy, so I will be defending how some champions (like Shen) have a huge fan base. They're dying ... I'm not pulling this out of my ass. I'm part of both the Shen reddit, club, and I speak with them most days. Our beloved streamer, Tricky has even gotten sick of the ill support Shen has been getting and has stopped streaming / uploading League content.
I'm telling you, Idk how much more I can stand united. I love each and everyone of the Shen mains out there, and have supported their causes throughout the years. Don't get me wrong ... I am very grateful that Shen is finally getting a (hopefully greater than a 975 lp skin) since Warlord was the last one 6 years ago. Our community is slowly dying though and that's because your team is favoring a lot of champions and the leaving a lot of other ones stale.
Once we're gone ... Know that you're going to lose a lot of passion / love that league holds dear to still because without that love and passion for your third party Champions, the game will honest to god die.
On one last note ... I know I've brought this hateful post up before, but I will ask again (hopefully a RIOTer responds to it) -- Instead of having 4 figures, a Hoodie, and possibly other merch I haven't google searched yet for Yasuo -- if you utilize your man power to take a way a couple of those figures and give it to champions that have not gotten their first Merch yet, won't you make a bigger profit? Think about it --- I buy a Yasuo figure, and another comes out. The likelihood that I get another Yas figure is much much lower than the likelihood of a new champion merch (like Shen) comes out, and the Shen mains groveling over it asap. At the same time you spread some love to your champion pool and stop playing marketing favoritism.
Sometimes marketing teams can't predict everything with numbers, you have to use intuition / heart and understand other perspectives when it comes to making profit. You can't make profit without taking risks .. and while the Shen community is still not dead (expiring soon .. understand that though), give us a chance / believe in us because we will stand united to support that merch and help support YOU to keep the game going for us.
