Sagus, the Verdict of Demacia [Champion Concept]

Sagus, (sog - es), the Verdict of Demacia is (intended to be) a Support/Mage that objects anybody that attempts to harm him or his Comrades and punishes the guilty. He is quite fragile, relying on his Ranged Abilities keep the Enemies at bay, denies them their bloodlust, and punishes them for their offenses. _I would like to point out that I am not too good with numbers and names and that those will be part of the discussion. _

Gender: Male Race: Human Birthplace: Demacia Residence: Demacia Faction: Demacia

(This is the as close as I can do it.) Health ~540 (+~80 HP per level) Health Regen ~6.0 (+~0.7 per level) Mana ~340 (+~50 MP per level) Mana Regen 7.1 (+.7 per level) Ranged 550 Attack ~52.4 (+~2.8 per level) Attack Speed ~0.625 (+~2.4% per level) Armor ~20.2 (+~3.4 per level) Magic Resist 32 Movement Speed 330

Passive - Judge: (Range: ~1800)

If an Enemy Champion attempts to or successfully deals damage to any of your allies that are within range, the Enemy Champion will be marked with a Judge debuff that cannot be removed for 8 seconds, refreshing with each offense they make. When any Allied Champion manages to "hit" (This does not require them to deal damage) the marked enemy, they proc the Judge debuff to deal [14 + (8 x Sagus' level) + (5% Sagus' AP)] Magic Damage and prevents Judge from being applied again for 8 seconds, which that cooldown is reduced by one second each time the Enemy Champion offends any nearby Allied champions. If an Enemy Champion kills one of your Allied Champions while you are Alive, they are marked by a Verdict debuff that cannot be removed for one minute or until that Enemy Champion dies. Sagus' Abilities apply special effects to those marked by Verdict and receive additional (1% + 1% per 100 AP) Magic Damage. Basic Attacks apply only 1% AP extra damage. (This is the major part of the discussion. What should be the special effects to those Target under Verdict?)

Q - Counterspell: (Range: ~1000; Projectile Speed: ~1800; Projectile Width: 60; Pulse Field Radius: ~240; Mana Cost: 40; Cooldown: 8 seconds)

Sagus fires a Magical Projectile that deals (~40/60/80/100/120 + 30% AP) Magic Damage to the first Enemy Champion struck. If it hits an Enemy Champion's Projectile, it blocks it. Upon colliding with the first Enemy Champion or an Enemy Champion's Projectile, it creates a Pulse Field that deals (~40/60/80/100/120 + 30% AP) Magic Damage and lasts for 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds. All Enemy Champion projectiles that pass through the field have their damage reduced by (5% + 1% every 40 AP). All Enemy Champions hit by the Pulse Field are interrupted. If an Enemy is marked by Verdict, all of their Basic Abilities that are on cooldown are increased by 2 seconds. (This part may be changed) (Again, I need confirmation on the amount of damage and whether the Ability and the Verdict effects are reasonable to fit the theme of a Judge Mage.)

W - Detain: (Range: ~900; Detain Radius: ~350; Mana Cost: ~70/75/80/85/90; Cooldown: ~18/17/16/15/14 seconds)

Sagus channels for .5 seconds before creating a Detaining Field at a Target Location that after 1 second, all enemies caught in the field take (~20/32.5/45/67.5/80 + 20% AP) Magic Damage and will be detained for 2 seconds. (Detain prevents Enemies from Auto-Attacking and Using Abilities that are Offensive. They can still use Defensive Abilities such as Self-Buff Abilities and Movement Abilities as long as they do not deal damage.) Enemy Champions marked with Verdict that are caught in the Detain Field are Silenced for the Detain duration as well. (For Clarification on the Detain Mechanic, Abilities like Garen's Q and W and Sivir's W, E, and R can still be cast, but Garen's E and R and Sivir's Q cannot. Other examples are Tryndamere's Q and R can be cast, but his W and E cannot. I will assume that this will be a pain to code and program but I hope it could be pulled off successfully.) Again, I need confirmation on the amount of damage and whether the Ability and the Verdict effects are reasonable to fit the theme of a Judge Mage)

E - Reprieve: (Range: ~800; Detonation Radius: ~350; Mana Cost: ~60/65/70/75/80; Cooldown: ~16/15/14/13/12 seconds)

Sagus creates a Spell Shield on a Target Ally that lasts for 4/4.5/5/5.5/6 seconds. Once the spell shield is consumed, it detonates a slowing field that deals (60/90/120/150/180 + 40% AP) Magic Damage to nearby Enemies, interrupting them and reduces their damage output by (5% + 1% for every 40 AP) for 1.5 seconds and slowing them by 30% for 1.5 seconds. Enemy Champions marked with Verdict will be stunned for .5 seconds while their damage output is reduced by (5% + 1% every 40 AP) for 3 seconds and slowed by 50% for 3 seconds. (Again, I need confirmation on the amount of damage and whether the Ability and the Verdict effects are reasonable to fit the theme of a Judge Mage. I am considering a possibility of adding a debuff to enemies hit by the pulse that makes them deal about 15% less damage for the next few seconds.)

R - Judge's Verdict: (Minimum Cast Range: ~1000; Maximum Cast Range: ~5500; Revelation Radius: ~550; Epicenter Radius: ~275; Mana Cost: 100/125/150; Cooldown: ~140/120/100 seconds)

Sagus channels this spell for 2.5 seconds, revealing the Target Location that at the end of the channel is blown up by heavenly light, dealing (~200/300/400 + 60%AP) Magic Damage to Enemy Champions caught in it, and even more to those at the epicenter (by 33%). Enemy Champions marked with Verdict are slowed by 70% until they escape the zone or the zone finishes its explosion effect. They receive increased damage from the ultimate equal to (1% + 1% every 40 AP) of their missing HP as Magic Damage. If any Enemy Champion is under Verdict at all, the Minimum Cast Range dismissed but the Epicenter damage bonus is negated if cast within the Minimum Cast Range.

Discussion: (My Thoughts so Far...) I intend him to be a Support/Mage (Meaning he is primarily a support, but his secondary role is a Mage). So far, he is a fragile and an immobile champion (thus the lack of mobility abilities and his slow Movement Speed). His kit delivers a promising amount of utility that is more effective if the enemy is aggressive than if your team is aggressive (at least that is what I intended). Although he cannot kite too well, his spells should negate some of their damage. This means any assassin that solos against him will not easily kill him, but are put at a vulnerable position if they did attempt to. But Sagus does not have a lot of kill potential on his own. His only devastating spell in his arsenal is his ultimate, which is used to catch enemies that have successfully fled or to keep allies safe by hiding under a heavenly burst of powers. Sagus' "kill potential" rises once the enemies kills one of his allied champions because Sagus then applies harder CC to most of his abilities to ensure the rest of his allies survive. Meaning he starts off somewhat more merciful, but once the enemy is guilty of committing offenses against him and his team, he ensures justice to be served. I have been informed that some people would attempt to play him as a tank. I am searching for ways to reduce that possibility.

Hi! I am an avid support player and I am freaking out about your concept! He really feels like the role he is supposed to play and the way I imagine him, he looks freaking bad ass. I imagine him ressembling Thor (long hair with beard), wearing like cloth robes and wielding a two-handed hammer. You should give a more detailed description of him :D

I really like his passive and how they must deal damage to your ally before you deal damage to them. Very nice! However, I don't know why (and this is just me here), I don't like passives that add "special effects" to spells. If it were me, I would change it to: anyone who kills an ally in range of the passive deals X% less damage for X seconds. The way I imagined it, is that they would be weighted down by their sins thus dealing less damage. Still fits thematicaly and would be practical in fights when an assassin just burst a carry.

The Q is very unique and I would never have thought of such a spell (great job!). However, I think it would be simpler and cool if the skillshot just went in a straight line and blocked projectiles that go through it until it reaches an enemy champ or minion. At the end, the pulse could emit an X% slow to all enemies and it could be stronger if it blocked a spell before arriving. Would give a little bit more CC.

The W is really cool, don't change a thing but maybe just make it a silence instead of stopping only offensive spells and AA because for the scripters (if it ever gets to that point in riot) would be pissed xD

The E is very cool also but for rewarding well timed Reprieved and the missed ones, I would add a .75 second stun or snare instead of a slow. It feels more rewarding and its small enough to not be overwhelming.

I feel like the R's delay is way to high! A lot of things can happen in 2.5 seconds and enemies can easily dodge it. For added effect, you could say: Sagus, deeming the enemies guilty of their sins crushes them and deals a powerful slow to everyone caught in it. ALSO, to bring back your Verdict debuff, anyone that has a Verdict debuff is stunned for X seconds instead of slowed. Would be very nice and fit really well with the thematic IMO

Reminder: this is just my opinion, take and leave what you want and in no way am I bashing on your concept, I really like it and I want to make it even more thematically AWESMAZING and unique character! Hope this helps or gives you new ideas! :D

Read his name as "Sausage, the verdict of demacia" at first, but read through it and I like the idea. Good work.
