Okay hello guys! Please feel free to criticize my mistakes (but be respectful) and give suggestions! But without further delay, i present to you:


Bethany, the Portal Mistress Primary - Mage Secondary - Support Birthplace - Noxus


Playstyle: Bethany is a mage that is meant to be able to out sustain her lane opponent, as well as giving sustain to her allies. She can set up great ganks with her portals once she decides to start roaming.

Lore: [TL;DR Warning] The child of a once great Noxian General, and a powerful sorceress; Bethany, was left alone in the alleyways of Noxus streets to fend for her self at the age of 6, when his parents were forced to run away after the general was found stealing from DariusDarius. She was taken in by a Noxian Scientist after Bethany was found able to create portals to steal food for her brother. The Scientist, although kind, was also ambitious to make Bethany a weapon for his own personal use. So he threatened to turn Shade in if she did not do what she was told. As she grew, she became more and more dangerous. Her powers became stronger and stronger as she was trained by Noxus magelords. As the training went on, she went from being able to hold a portal there for mere seconds, to being able to keep them open for minutes. But on her last day of testing, as she was going to be let out for the first time in years to be sent field tested. The Scientist faulted in his lab and created a mass explosion within his lab. She was found passed out near the fields of his lab with head injuries, all she remembered was that she was a weapon. So she was taken in to the institution of war to prepare as a mage for Noxus. After years of service, she retired in order to chase down her past. She met with a team of mercenaries while tracking clues and joined the League of Legends after Shade begged her to. "What am i expected to do?..." - Bethany.


Abilities:

Passive - Shadow Drain: Bethany gains +10 (+3 per level) AP for each portal that is placed. She gains +20 (+3 per level) maximum mana everytime she shields, heals or restore mana to an ally that is not herself.

"Q" - Shadow Pulse: Sends out a fast orb that will travel a short distance, it passes though enemies hit and if it kills an enemy the range is doubled, the damage increases by 20% and 120% of the spent mana is refunded. If it hits an enemy champion after it has killed a target, the orb will slow by 75% and silence the hit champion for 0.75 seconds. If the orb is sent though a Linked Portal then the remainder of the range will be continued though the other end of the portal. If an ally is hit with Shadow Pulse they are energized and will restore 25/35/45/55/75 mana per auto attack or ability hit. The orb deals 70/85/100/120/145 (+100% AP) magic damage. [Cost 55/60/65/70/75 mana] [12/10.5/9/7.5/6 second cooldown]

"W" - Trans-Portals: Bethany opens a portal that lasts for 2 minutes, or until replaced, destroyed by Bethany, or if an enemy passes though. Bethany can place down up to 2 portals at a time. If only once portal is placed, it is unstable. It will randomly strike targets near it once every 3-6 seconds, up to 5 times. Dealing 10/20/30/40/50 (+100% AP) magic damage. If it remains the only portal for 30 seconds, it will close and deal 100 magic damage in it's area. (Players can click on the portal to see it's remaining duration.) If 2 portals are placed, they link, becoming stable, no longer dealing damage, but can transport players from one portal to another. Allies can instantly go though, gaining a movement speed buff once on the other side, but in order for enemies to pass though they need to channel for 5 seconds. Placing more than 2 portals will replace the oldest one. Bethany can hold a maximum of 3 charges. [Cost: 100 mana for one portal, and once a portal is placed, the second can be placed for free] [30 second cooldown between portal places, and 60/55/50/45/40 second cooldown for recharge, each champion can only go though a portal once every 35 seconds]

"E" - Shadow Shied: Places a shadow energy shield in one direction on an ally. Protecting them from 60/80/100/120/140 (+50% AP) damage from that one direction. Shield lasts 3/4/5/6/7 seconds. After the duration of the shield, the amount of the shield's life left is healed to the target. While shield is active on any target, Bethany gains 30/40/50/60/75 AP [Cost: 70/75/80/85/90 mana] [20/18/16/14/12 second cooldown]

"R" - Portal Combustion: (can only be used when a portal is placed down) Bethany sends shadow energy though her portals dealing 200/300/450 (+120% AP) in an area around her portals. Enemy champions hit will be stunned for 2 secons. Deals 10% more damage for each Trans-Portals stack consumed. [Cost: 100 mana] [120/100/80 second cooldown]

Shortened Version:

Lore: Abandoned at a young age, she was taken in by a scientist to be used as a weapon, during training the scientist's lab exploded causing her to lose her memory, so she joined the institution of war and eventually the Noxian army. After she retired from the army she went to find clues about her past. While doing that she met a group of mercenaries and they joined the League of Legends together.

Note: the abilities are not in order because bethany's kit needs to be explained in a different way

W- Places a portal that deals damage to enemys around it. If 2 portals are placed then they link, and you can teleport from one to another. (there's a cooldown to this for each player) You recharge portals and can store up to 3 (cooldown between time you can place a portal). If more than one portal is placed they do not do damage.

Q- Shoots a fast orb, if it kills a target the range is doubled (stacks) , deals more damage, and refunds 120% mana spent. If it hits a champions after it already killed a enemy, it will slow and silence. If it goes though a LINKED portal, then the rest of the range on the orb will travel though the other portal. If the orb hits an ally it will restore mana to them for each auto-attack/ability hit for a short while.

R- Consumes all stored stacks of "w" and sends out a shock wave though the portals that have been placed. It will stun enemies hit and will do more damage for more stacks it consumed.

E- Gives a yasuo wind wall + braum's shield type shield to an ally (or yourself) that will block out damage from one direction for a few seconds. At the end of the duration the remainder of the shield's health is healed to the target.

Passive- Gives ap for each portal placed. Gives maximum mana for each shield, heal, or mana restore.

I'm thinking of making her use a custom resource instead of mana, anyone interested?

This is the only thing I liked about your champions skills

After the duration of the shield, the amount of the shield's life left is healed to the target.

It has its issues and could be tweaked more but as is I kinda like the idea in theory.

Unfortunately everything else breaks in theory.
