Levitas: The Relentless Light

(DISCLAIMER: NUMBERS, RATIOS AND EFFECTS ARE NOT FINAL!)

Overview: Levitas is a Hybrid, Top lane bruiser, but acts like a support in multiple champion fights. Her diverse kit lets her get the maximum effects out of hybrid items to scale into late game and be the deciding factor in a fight. With Levitas' kit, a summoner can take advantages by playing both passively and aggressively.

Why this type of champion?: Levitas is designed in a unique way, to have two roles be combined into one. In the top levels of play and in team 5v5's, the top lane pick of Lulu is a viable option because she gets gold from cs to have her abilities scale harder and have greater supporting affects in team fights. One thing puzzles me, Lulu is not a Bruiser or traditional top laner and was not designed to play top. I thought Levitas could be a solution to this.

Lore: Levitas grew up her whole life experiencing the conflict on Mount Targon with the Solari between Leona and the Sun, and Diana and the Moon. Levitas thought that she could resolve this conflict by attempting to harness all kinds of light, with Solar or Lunar power. She was a pacifist and only wanted good, but the effort only created a 3 way conflict where she was in the middle and could not bare to see such unnecessary conflict. Due to this, and the fact that the Solari hated her views because of the devotion of anything other than the Sun, she ran away from her home in search of more evidence to support her beliefs. Levitas ventured to a place in which light was not. The Shadow Isles. She had heard about the countless creatures that roamed the Shadow Isles, but was not afraid. Levitas believed that if she came in peace, bringing light, that she would be safe. That was not the case. A short while after entering, Levitas sees a horse like figure approaching quickly out of the barren darkness. Before she could even say anything about coming in peace, Hecarim violently approaches and yells "Mother, if I dare even call you that! You made me into what I am today! A curse such as this?" Hecarim backs Levitas into a wall and raises his scythe to her throat. "Is this what you wished for in your conquest? Your twisted rotten soul shall rot in the depths of the Shadow Isles! Death is only the beginning!!!" Screams Hecarim in anger. "Who are you? I come in peace. What are you talking about, Mother?" Levitas Hesitantly stutters. "Don't play that game with me, witch! You know exactly who I am and exactly what you did to me!" "I swear! I would never hurt another! You must have the wrong person! Please spare my soul!" "It was you, and I am sure of it! That one night at the top of Mt. Targon YOU were trying to harness and channel Solar and Lunar power into one. You were successful, yet unaware of the repercussions. I used to be a normal human like you until that night. I was riding on my horse and saw a beam of light coming at me from the top of Mt. Targon. That beam forged my horse and I into darkness, into one." "Im so—" "Enough! I shall do to you what you have done to me! May a million years of darkness reign down upon you!" Levitas's body armor with natural light from her training blocked a very large portion of the curses' effects. Even so, her appearance was altered. She arose from the rubble with a horse like lower body and an upper body of a human. Only 1, third leg had grown centered in the area where two are meant to be. Through all the mutations, the darkness did not have any effect. Hecarim was prepared to kill Levitas because his plan did not fully work. "Wait! There is one other way." "Another way to do what...?" "Restore you. We must locate Leona and Diana and kill them to harness their individual power to remove the Solar and Lunar darkness from within you. Where can we find them?" "You must join the League of Legends and we can find and kill them there." "Then it is that we shall do, Hecarim" Levitas joined the League and fought with Hecarim to try to hunt down Leona and Diana with hopes to restore both of themselves to their former human forms.

Appearance: 3 Legs, Horselike Body, Heavy Armor (Light Beige), No Vision of Face.

Stats From Level 1-18: Health: 597.9 (+94) Health Regen: 7 (+0.75) Melee: 180 Attack Damage: 60.968 (+3.2) Attack Speed: 0.679 (+2.56%) Armor: 26.72 (+4) Magic Resist: 32.1 (+1.25) Movement Speed: 340 (+5)

Skills/Abilities:

Passive: Way Of The Enlightened: Levitas gains only 50% of her bonus Attack Damage, and Attack Speed as direct stats which are automatically applied. The other 50% is forged into Light, an alternative scaling method for Levitas's abilities. 125% of Ability Power is forged into light. 1 Light = 2.25 Ability Power of 125% of Ability Power (Ex. 100 Normal Ability Power = 125 Light Ability Power = 56 Light, 125/2.25.) 1 Light = 1 Attack Damage of 50% of Attack Damage. (Calculations for attack speed scaling with light is complex and needs to be more thoroughly and rationally thought out)

Q: Rapiers Of Light Cost: 3 Light Cooldown: 10/8/7/6/5 Levitas sends out her Rapiers from each of her arms traveling first, directly forward, parallel to each other at arms length apart dealing (Tbd amt Light dmg)(Light Damage is 45% Physical, 45% Magic, and 10% True Damage) When reactivating this ability, the rapiers pivot at a 45° angle inwards to their collision where they pierce through each other and at the destination dealing (Tbd amt Light dmg) and Slowing enemies by 65% for .5/.75/1/1.25/1.5 seconds.

W: Reforming Darkness Cost: 5 Light Cooldown: 24/21/19/15/13/11 Levitas dashes to a target location and upon arrival, lifts her forward most leg up hitting the ground 0.75 seconds later stunning all enemies in a semi-circle in front of her for (+ 0.5% Light) seconds and dealing (Tbd amt. Light dmg) damage.

Passive: Noble Wanderer Levitas passively gains 5 base movement speed per level.

E: Illumination Of War Cost: 3 Light Cooldown: 35/32/30/26/23 Levitas throws her rapiers a short distance into a nearby brush. Her rapier Illuminates the brush granting true vision for 60 seconds. Any enemies that enter the brush with the rapier are inflicted with illumination dealing (Tbd amt Light dmg) (UNDERGOING CHANGES TO THE FIRST PART OF THIS ABILITY!)

If Levitas is in Melee range of an enemy champion and activates this ability, costing 4 Light, she will violently stab either side of that champion dealing (Tbd amt Light dmg) damage and Slowing the enemy by 99% for 0.25 seconds, Blinding them for 1 second, and Granting vision of them for 15 seconds.

R: Cleanse and Conquer Cost: 7 Light Cooldown: 200/160/135 Levitas summons a orb of sunlight healing all allies for (Tbd amt Light) also removing any crowd control effects, debuffs, and disables. Afterwards, the duration of disables on allies hit are reduced by 50/65/80% for the next 5/7/10 seconds. If an enemy is hit by the orb, it will deal damage (+ illuminate their vision, causing their vision radius to be significantly reduced for 1.75/2.5/4 seconds. This will also Blind them for that duration and slow them by 60% for 1.75/2.5/4 seconds.
If an enemy AND an ally are hit by the orb any crowd control affects will be transferred off of your allies and onto your enemies. The above affects for allies and enemies still apply.

It feels like this champion can do just about everything while also playing ridiculously safe in lane.

That's not healthy.

From what you've got here, Levitas has:

  1. Gap closer
  2. AOE stun
  3. Unlimited wards + true vision
  4. High scaling ratios*
  5. HUGELY overpowered ultimate
  6. Strong base stats

Not that I wouldn't love to have a champion that had all this, but it's simply way too much. This would be a swiss army knife of a champion, able to be relevant in any situation. That's where you run into problems.

For what you want to accomplish, I would suggest scrapping the true vision ability entirely. It allows your champion to lane in total safety which will never get the Rito Seal of Approval. In addition, consider building an exploitable weakness. Champions should have some aspect about how they are played to show that they can be killed or countered.

As for the ultimate, that's just way too much. I would consider reworking it so that it's not so much of a game-changer. Those kind of balance breaker ultimates are usually reserved for tanky champions such as Amumu and Sejuani who would otherwise not be nearly as effective in teamfights.

That's all the advice I have for you,

Good luck!

Here's the thing about true vision. It's predominantly used as a stealth breaker or for counter-warding. If you have a champion that can grant true vision or use it themselves, you have an effective anti-ward device without having any gold investment.

It would make item 3364 and item 2043 obsolete (as if they over-used in low elo amirite?).

If you're adamant about the whole true vision thing, there'd have to be a caveat to make sure it doesn't completely outmode the above items. Perhaps make it a cone-shaped toggle ability that grants true vision in a small cone in front of her. In addition, when toggled on, Levitas is visible to all champions.

This would encourage sporadic, focused ward seeking while also maintaining the value of items and allowing champions such as Shaco , Khazix and Rengar to do what they do best.

You should take out the True vision.

Great lore!

instead of "Light" you should rename it into something that rolls with the tongue, like a synonym or something

Personal thoughts: Passive: Dafuq does it do again? I'm so lost Q: damage is far too divided and does not reward any form of defense. Also uh... how does it work again? W: AOE stuns are not exactly fun to deal with, plus it's a gap closer. Maybe a little bit of work on how it works. E: Far too much effects on the same target for one auto. R: Too much penalty for attempting to CC the allies of this champion.

I would agree with double fister here, far too safe and does just about everything, even without the vision effect on the E.
