Serious Question: Why is there still Blind Pick?

After disbanding countless team builders due to not finding a support for 20 minutes, I give up, go to blind pick, don't get my desired role, and lose the game because of people being stubborn after not getting their position .... I ask myself, why is Blind Pick still an option? The number of Supports and AD Carries are only so low in Team Builder because they all go to Blind Pick because they have a higher chance of getting their desired role. If Blind Pick were to be removed, Team Builder would be much quicker. A change such as that would create a much more desirable atmosphere instead of relying on your internet to get you Jungle in Blind Pick.

Because Team Builder is an inferior substitute for Blind Pick. The removal of Blind Pick would push more players to Draft Pick, not to Team Builder.

There's no random option for Team Builder.
There's no fill option for Team Builder.
There's no way to change your champion to be better for the team in Team Builder (ironic, isn't it).

Team Builder is good for one thing, and one thing only: Picking a champion/lane and saying "No matter what, I'm playing this". In Blind Pick, we call those players "Instalockers". Any other aspect of the game, including improving at the game by being thrown into positions you're less familiar with, it falls so far behind it's not even funny.

Yes, Blind Pick has its occasional trolls and instalockers, but it's still a preferable fate to Team Builder. Even if Team Builder queues took just as long as Blind Pick, I would not chose Team Builder.

There might be some hope for Team Builder when Team Builder Draft gets released. It sounds like they fix these issues there. Until then, don't expect a resurgence of players for Team Builder.

The majority of players (85% last time I checked Riot's stats) exclusively play Blind Pick. Hope that answers your question as to why it's still an option.
