Raenor, the Scourge
Summary: A durable laner that deals the most damage in teamfights and in prolonged battles, becoming invisible and spreading disease.
Lore
"The further I glance behind, the less I want to look ahead." -Raenor
Thousands of years ago, Raenor, then known as Scourge, journeyed the lands of Runeterra, hoping to find an accomplice to join him in his dark deeds. Yet the more he searched, the more he gained a lust for power. As he was traveling back to his hometown, angered by his unsuccessful attempts of finding an accomplice, a party of scouts from Demacia stopped him. They asked him to give his name, as they were fearful of Noxian spies in their territory. He refused, and they threatened to kill him. As they did. The man who gave the killing blow, though, was cursed for eternity. He slowly went mad as he began to experience dark dreams and hallucinations. One day, he was drafted to fight in the Demacian campaign against Noxus. No one knew he was infected by Scourge. All at once, during the journey to Noxus, he, along with the rest of his comrades, died of severe cases of hemorrhage. Scourge, now Raenor Tael, rose from the bodies, and headed to Demacia, an infection his weapon.
Abilities
Passive: Transmission - Raenor's basic attacks and abilities transmit his own disease, Scarlet, to infect his targets. The next ability used against them will deal bonus true damage. Maximum of 3 stacks of Scarlet. Stacks last 5 seconds, refreshes per ability or auto attack used on the target.
Q: Reap - Instantly deal 70/80/90/100/110 (+120% AD) physical damage to an enemy. If a unit is killed with Reap, stacks of Reap are gained, increasing the damage of your next Reap by the amount of stacks available. If the unit is killed with these bonus stacks, it will transfer the percentage of the enemy's health that remained before Reap killed it. All stacks currently available are depleted when an enemy is hit, healing for 1/2/3/4/5% max health for every 30 stacks depleted. 10 stacks gained for killing minions, 20 for champions and large minions or monsters, 1 for each 1% of the enemy's health that remained before being slain by Reap.
20 Mana 4 second cooldown Single target Auto attack enhancer
W: Shackles of Shadow - Raenor assumes a blanket of shackles to be placed on the ground after 1.5/1.4/1.3/1.2/1.1 seconds. Shackles last 2.5/2.6/2.7/2.8/2.9 seconds. Enemies can only see where the shackles will be placed, but do not see the shackles themselves. Any enemy remaining in the shackles for one second is rooted for .5/.75/1/1.25/1.5 seconds. During this time Scarlet will deal 30/40/50/60/70 (+20% AP) magic damage plus 2/2.25/2.5/2.75/3% of each target's maximum health in true damage per stack. If a unit is killed, grants a stack of Wilt, causing Raenor's next Reap to slow the target by 15/30/45/60/75%.
50/60/70/80/90 Mana 10 second cooldown AoE Root
E: Claws of the Beast - Raenor's next two basic attacks gain 30/40/50/60/70% attack speed and mark an X on a unit. This does not apply Scarlet. The mark lasts three seconds. Raenor's next Reap against the marked target grants maximum (3) stacks of Scarlet.
Passive: Having three stacks of Scarlet on an enemy champion grants one stack to all nearby enemy champions, and using Reap on the target with three stacks of Scarlet also deals damage to all other enemies affected with Scarlet, applying all on-hit effects.
No cost 8 second cooldown Single target Auto attack enhancer
R: Pathogen - Raenor channels for 4/3/2 seconds. After channeling, Raenor will become invisible for 9/10/11 seconds. Walking near an enemy infects them with Scarlet. This will be transmitted and replicated when the champion is near its teammates. At the end of the invisibility, or when reactivated, all stacks of Scarlet are detonated to deal 10/12.5/15% of each enemy champion's maximum health per stack in magic damage. If a champion is killed, the cooldown of this ability is reduced by 10% per champion.
Lengthy Lore
A group of five arose in the catacombs of the Isles. Each traveled to the center of the catacombs, establishing long lost memories, then performed their task. The Isles were soon to become doomed, and they had to create a leader for the mindless Mist that consumed all. Slowly, experiment after experiment, the five created the perfect remedy for the disease that would come: another. After naming it Scarlet, they sacrificed their memories to the sentient plague that would establish a host somewhere in the Isles, before the Mist came. The disease floated into the walls of the catacombs, seeping through cracks, leaking into the outside world. The cold was too much for Scarlet to bear, people were all inside their homes, warm and cozy. The humid forests were perfect for Scarlet to spread, and so it attached itself to trees, connecting itself to the underground network, scanning for movement. A piece of the network replied to its needs, sending a sort of image to the other trees and shrubs, mushrooms and mold. Scarlet disassembled itself into the network of roots, travelling to the darker section of the woods. Warmth finally found its way to the disease. It sensed a human, one whose immune system was unhealthy and weak, fit for a disease. As the human left the woods, it never thought he was Patient Zero for a new, unearthly plague. That night, when the human was inside his home, the disease waited for the right moment to spread. The Mist would soon come, the Ruined King would soon find a curse was not all he unleashed upon this land.
