Daily quests?

I feel like league of legends should have daily quests. One for example could be Win 5 games for the day and earn bonus IP or something like a key fragment or chest. If you guys added this i would definitely play this game a lot more and have more fun while playing it

Ooo. Honestly this is the reason I still play Hearthstone. Instead of first win of the day, logging on just to win one game, they could have something like "win 3 games played in the jungle role." Or "Play 5 games as Bard (assuming you own him obv.)" Very neat idea and can put fun into league, maybe making you try certain roles/champions you wouldn't have normally done.

200+ views in 25 minutes? I think you might be onto something here.

I'd honestly rather they didn't add daily quests. Dailies very easily turn into chores you don't really want to do but you still gotta if you want to gain any currency. I have dailies in Hearthstone right now to play 10 Divine Shield minions, 10 Enrage Minions and 50 Rogue class cards. What that means is "throw together a shitty Paladin deck, a shitty Warrior deck and a shitty Rogue deck, play as many cards as possible and lose 10+ games to get it over with". Back when I played the Heroes of the Storm beta I'd log in and want to play Abathur, but I would have quests to play Diablo heroes for 3 games or Assassins for 8. And since the only real way to get currency is to do the dailies I didn't get to play what I wanted.

Now, what I'd be perfectly OK with is like a bonus for winning a certain number of games in a day. Maybe 3 regular wins or 5 ARAM/RGM wins give you some extra IP?

New permanent quest: Every game played as a support gives you 10rp.

Suddenly, there aren't enough mid laners for the queue times.

I don't feel like there are currently enough things to do outside of customs for this to be "fun." It would quickly become a chore that you only do because you want some more ip or key fragments or whatever the prize is. An example of a past quest gone wrong would be the icons given back in ascension, where people would just quit or give up the second the enemy had an ascended because you had to not let them get any ascensions for one of the icons.

Simply making quests be "win X # of games" also puts more unneeded pressure to win a normal game. People will be more predisposed to dodging when you have that weird bot lane duo than they already are relegating far off meta playstyles into customs or friends only games. Also anything that involved ARAM would lead to a lot more people dodging.

The only "good" quests I can think of would be play x number of games with a certain role or x number of games of a certain game mode, regardless of win or loss. This once again, would end up becoming a chore for some people, but at least it would have fewer potential consequences for casual games.

"Win 3 games in the support role" Basically daring people to choose support.

maybe then we could get Dominion back and finally have a reason for people to play it [zombie-nunu-bummed]

feat. me, the only person who played Dominion passionately (and probably played it more than SR to the point I had forgotten how to play SR)

i proposed this idea years ago and it got down voted into oblivion....

Lots of games do this, definitely a good incentive to play.

Ive often said this as well and the introduction of hextech is the perfect kind of rewards to offer. Whether shards, chests, dust, or even good ol IP. There are downsides and issues tho. Mainly the tried and true classic argument "What about ancient old one players that HAAAVE every champ/skin/cosmetic!?!?! then they wouldnt have any reason to blah blah blah" and to that i say [FART NOISES]

like sorry you are a vet and saw league grow into this, and if anything im not sorry for you because you probably have stuff i couldnt even try to obtain nowadays, but if league wants to KEEP growing in player base or at the least be more bearable to grind/get everything for folks like me, where im 3 years in and barely have half the champs, this would be a perfect solution.

It's a great feature in HoTS.. LoL would benefit greatly from something other than the first win of the day bonus..

I love this idea! Better quests than the lore ones.

Since generic quests would be a tiresome thing, what if the quests were role oriented? Like, once a week/day you could go to the quests panel and select a role to be given a task for that role. Something like "Successfully get 300 CS within 30 minutes in a game" for ADC or maybe "Heal allies for 5000 HP over a single game" for support. Yea, some would encourage specific picks, but that wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. Plus the occasional fun one could be thrown in for variety like "Hit 700 MS while in the opponent's half of the map without the use of Teleport" for Top/jg or "Hit an AOE ability on 5 champs at once" for any role (although ADC might struggle here). If these tasks were a weekly thing that could only be done outside of ranked, it'd make for some fun variety here or there, and if you don't like your weekly task you could just let it expire. I'm sure that idea sounds atrocious to some people, but imo it would provide some interesting ways to mix up the occasional game with friends.

This would be nice to teach people macro play. Make it objective rated like reach x cs at y minutes or place x wards buy trinkets. YES! It works!

Every other moba I've ever played has had a personal quests system. No clue why League doesn't.
