Rough Idea: A Gameplay Niche

I had an idea for a kind of champion that can fit a niche of vision-centricity. Each of the champion's abilities would have something to do with vision or have an interaction with wards. Consequently, this champion would probably be a jungler or a support.

Since each kit has something to do with vision, there is perhaps a kit that can contain an ability like Ashe 's Hawkshot (E),Quinn 's Heightened Senses (W), and the first part of TwistedFate 's Destiny (R). Additionally, they all should interact with wards somehow--the closest champion that does interact proactively with wards is LeeSin so far, but doesn't truly base his entire kit off it.

I have designed a rough champion kit just as an example (no numbers, no names, no lore, for the sake of simplicity; this champion will be named 'Edward' for now).

P: Utility Buff Passive Some utility buff to Edward. For example, Edward gains 2/3/4/5% bonus cooldown reduction and his team gains bonus movement speed by them (think Point Runner passive) for each ally ward placed. (Note: Edward's ability cast ranges are global, but point-and-click; therefore, he can cast spells on enemies seen by wards).

Q: Free Sightstone Ability Places a ward on the map that see enemy wards within its range. Perhaps the ward may have a motion sensor type passive where it'll auto-ping or something every time something walks near it. For kicks, there might also be a thornmail passive where an enemy attacking it to kill it suffers 10% max health magic damage or something. Also, Edward can cast spells off it.

W: AoE Skillshot Vision Ability Think Ashe's Hawkshot, but with damage and CC.

E: Targeted Tracking Ability Places vision on an enemy, rendering them truly visible for a time (no stealth for you Khazix .

R: Global Teleport Ability Edward allows himself or his allies to teleport from a platform where he or one of the wards is to another ward.

I'd also try to find a way to work damage in for each of the abilities, but I can't.

So, I like that you want to play with vision and that you've acknowledged the as-of-yet unoccupied niche that exists, but I think there is prob a better way of doing what you're trying to do. (For example, your Q makes him a ward bot...)

See Oracle, the World's Witness, my custom champ concept that I'm trying to get Riot to see and definitely hits on the niche you're talking about.

Passive: Overloaded. with the amount of utility your abilities have, giving yourself decreased cooldown AND movement speed buff to allies for Wards placed if imbalanced and offers no counterplay to your enemies. something like: Champion may cast any of it's ability within map vision, all allies and wards count. If Champions dies all effects from his abilities are canceled.

Q - Observation Passive: Champion gains increased movement speed within Observer range. Activate: Place an "Observer" at a location, 3 charges at rank 1. Can be placed as long as you have vision of the area. control ward rules apply. Observer charges once every 10 seconds. cost mana each cast.

Observer's have more life (4 hits instead of the regular 3), last longer AND have a larger vision range (maybe smaller than tower vision but larger than trinkets etc) Enemies within Observer vision are marked and take additional damage while in sight. grants gold to enemies if destroyed.

W - Eye Portal Champion opens a portal to an Observer, channeling for 6 seconds. Allowing Teleportation for itself and for 1 other ally. Teleportation travel time takes 4 seconds. The portal closes after teleportation is complete and the observer is sacrificed after cast. Enemies cannot use this portal. Portal rules apply. cannot be cast without an observer present on the map. Can be interrupted or canceled, cooldown will be reduced.

E - Tag Target Champion can choose to mark a single enemy champion that is in map vision. Once every 5 seconds, the location of marked target will be pinged on the map, revealing it's location and surrounding for 3 seconds. Lasts for 10 pings or upon death or with Cleanse.

R - Oracle shot Champion can fire an arrow anywhere on the map, as it will travels towards the location, it will reveal everything in it's path for 8 seconds. At it's destination, it will explode, dealing damage, blinding enemies and revealing everything the area for 6 seconds.

Counterplay: Q - Observer are basically wards, same rules apply. W - Portal rules apply. Enemies will be aware of the teleportation, regardless of in bush etc. E - Vision is temporary, enemies still have a chance to jungle or move around in river. R - As a global shot, it's really slow, similar to hawk shot speed. and can miss.

I replaced your W and your R, cause i felt the global hawk shot with damage and slow was stronger than the teleportation. gave you bonus speed only when in vision of observers. Enemies in vision of observers receive a small debuff.

But overall all you provide is vision and utility.
