Thartis - The Demacian Shadow
Thartis Heartsong: The Demacian Shadow
Made by - Lutra Lutra and Flay and Pray
The idea for this champ was to make an AP assassin that revolves around getting stacks on his abilities to maximize his potential, making it a choice to go in or to wait for all of his stacks.
** Passive: Rune of the Weeping Song** Every strike on an opposing champion will cause the runes on his blade to whisper a hushed note of the weeping song rune, stacking up to six times. Once stacked up to six times, the weeping song will whisper it’s finale, causing a moderate amount of magical damage to the opponent, the magical damage dealt by weeping song ignores spell shields and shields. Each stack will remain on the target for 6 seconds, falling off one at a time. After the target has heard the song of the weeping rune, the target will be immune to re-application for 8 seconds. Rune of the Weeping Song can be applied to several targets.
Q - Null Wave - Charging the runic energy in his left sword, Thartis will send out a series of six pillars from his current position, that increases in speed the farther the pillars reach. The pillars will deal a moderate amount of magical damage, passing through targets. Targets in the path of the wave can be hit by more than one pillar. Targets hit by the wave have their magic resistence lowered by 10, this debuff lingers for 6 seconds. Null Wave is stored in charges, up to 6 at a time, a charge is generated every 8 seconds. If assisting in a kill or killing an enemy, a charge will be renewed. For each charge stored, and then released, the wave will have it's range increased.

** Lore: Summary**
Member of a Forgotten Order - Demacian - Ordained by Jarvan I himself, in which he was the founder. He believed that every light casts a shadow, that light could not exist without the dark. That sometimes the nasty bits of political strife was essential for Demacian to become a thriving city-state. It was known as the Grey Sect/Order, in which the order would be tasked with addressing issues that were unable to be addressed publically. A group of elites that would locate and deal with all problems, no matter how dire or troublesome - generally issues that were morally questionable. Keepers of secrets, the order would eventually fall to time, after Jarvan I's death, the Order saw a lack of numbers and years after, they were eventually disbanded by Jarvan III officially as a dead sect. Though in the underbelly of Demacia, in the murky taverns and dark alleys, they gathered and continued their cause without aid from the Demacian heirarchy or political groups. The Grey Order eventually fell to a dismal state of a lone twenty-four indivdiuals, in which, Thartis was apart of.
**Lore: Detailed**
Thartis was tasked specifically with the hunting down of magically inclined opponents. The likes of mad mages, cultists, demons, and outer worldly beings were placed before him, and he slew them. Threats too large for any one man outside of the Grey Order to deal with, he was the finest executioner, the likes that could combat even the most powerful of summoners.
Little is known of Thartis past, what is known is that his family passed the linage of the Grey Order from father to son, and he was next in the line. Architects and devisers of anti magics, the Heartsong family would watch as their son grew to bare the same traits as they had. Finely tuned in to the mana and life force of the world around him, he was aware of his calling at a young age. Keen with the blade, he approached violence with a ruthless front, those that harmed others would recieve the same harm to them. Because of this temper he had honed, Thartis found his home in many jail cells in Demacia, or found himself running from alley to alley. Punishment for justice - was the Demacians so blind to themselves?
Thartis time with his family was short lived, as his father introduced him into the Sect at last, allowing him to decide on his own the path he wished to take. The young man had the qualities of a fierce fighter, that would eliminate the evils of this world, with the passion to burn through the ignorance that the Demacian government had veiled itself in. Evil must exist within good, good must exist within evil - but no two sides shall overpower the other. He was to be a weapon.
The Order he joined in, the balance keepers of Demacia, a forgotten foundation and pillar upon which the values of Demacia had once stood was a shadowy vision of it’s former power. Only twenty three remained in the Order. Haggard war veterans, quirky assassins, jaded fighters, even a familiar face or two resided in the Grey Order. They were the faces that blended into society, they were nothing special, a tavern owner here, a blacksmith there; even his father, a simple architect.
They received no praise on a daily basis, they were no one of true value to Demacia, ones easily replaced. The Blades of the Grey Order, as they called themselves, revealed to Thartis their role. They were not to gain a name for themselves on the surface, they were to be a hushed name whispered by their foes, myths that sliced away at the throats of those that would produce or make great evil. To Demacia they were nothing, but to them, Demacia was everything.
Thartis could only hope to grow up to be heroes such as them.
These men and women deserved to have their names heralded in the coming ages, they deserved it, yet declined all aspects of fame, of wealth. Their sense of pride came in their duty to the nation they called home, what they earned and made would be of their own right, not by manipulated actions that would gain them reward, to which they reiterated to the young man.
He accepted the mantle of humility when he joined the Blades of the Grey Order.
From that day when he joined the Grey Order, he vowed to remove all evil from this world, and that any that threaten his home, his loved ones, or this Order, would be vanquished by his blades. His passage into the Order was complete .
Over the years since he joined the Order, Thartis took his subtle talent in sensing magical properties to a new level. His name became infamous legend among those that dabbled in magic, tomes would speak of many names, attributing to a figure that would slice out the tongues of those who would use magic for dark intention. It dampened the rise of dark magics for coming ages.
As all Grey Order possess, Thartis too wields blades unique to him alone. Two large blades rest upon his back, which he draws upon for power, and two in his hand to reveal and cut down evil. These weapons, of which he has dubbed, “Hush, Whisper, Murmur, and Mutter”. Infused with runes that were retrieved from a fallen cult that had once played a part in the great Rune Wars in a forgotten age, he took their knowledge, their powers, and sealed them away in his own weapons. Wielding the dark to serve the light, he has utilized the powers that once served them and now uses them to punish the wicked.
To this day, Thartis serves the Grey Order, dying down to a lone number of twelve individuals, of which he was one. Slaying the wicked, removing the ones that usurp order and disrupt the world with chaos. He has received many names by these vile men and women that serve the darkness, the “Murmured Blades”, the “Flickering Ghost”, but to the Order and those that have learned of who he really is - he is known as: Thartis, the Demacian Shadow.t
