Concept of Ammunition and Manaless Gunner Champions
http://ddragon.leagueoflegends.com/cdn/img/champion/splash/Caitlyn_1.jpg This is a concept for an alternative-manaless resource (ie. fury, energy, cooldown, etc.). With the number of gun-toting champs in league, I thought it would be cool to add the concept of ammunition.
How Ammunition Would Work The mana bar would be used to show how much ammunition a champ would have in their magazine. Each ability would use up a sum of ammunition. If there is not enough ammunition in the magazine, the champ would not be able to use his/her ability if it required more than the amount of ammo on hand.
How to Reload Ammunition This was a tricky part to come up with, but the two ideas that would best work for this concept would be...
to make the "R" ability reload the clip. When the reload animation plays the player is given an active reload minigame like the one below http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/gearsofwar/images/9/91/Sucsses.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20081216152031 IF the player presses the reload button again at just the right time, the champ's basic attack damage slightly increases for a small period of time. This idea is more geared toward a single new champion rather than the whole roster of gun-weilding champs.
the other option is to make an exclusive reload button (not one of the ability buttons). This would regenerate ammunition BUT leave out the slight damage buff.
In Conclusion I feel like this would be a new, unique idea to test on old and new champions. It would add a level of knowledge of when to activate a champ's abilities at precise moments. I would like to hear your opinions, criticisms, and additions to make this idea better.
